Life Exchange (Obito/Tobi x Reader)

Chapter 8

3rd Person POV

"(Y/n)? (Y/n) please wake up.. it's Tobi." Tobi held (Y/n) in his arms.

(Y/n) opens her eyes and sees Tobi holding her. She could feel the tears on her face still. She looked around to see all the members hovering over her in confused and worried looks.

"It was all just a nightmare..." (Y/n) thought to herself.

"You had fallen asleep on the couch and we noticed you were having a terrible dream. Tobi saw you twitch and whimper a lot. Tears were even coming out." Tobi told her as she looked around to make sure it really was just a terrible dream.

"We were worried." Itachi said coming closer and rubbing her back.

(Y/n) didn't know what to say or do, she just stood up slowly and walked back to her room leaving everyone confused. They all whispered to each other and Tobi decided to go check up on her. (Y/n) sat on the bed, crying. She felt sick to her stomach and she felt hopeless.

"(Y/n)?" Tobi knocks on the door and walks in. "It's Tobi, I wanted to make sure you were ok-"

Tobi was cut off when (Y/n) jumped into his arms, crying into his chest.

"Please, please don't ever leave me. I don't want you to disappear when I need you the most!" She says, sobbing into his chest.

"Wha- (Y/n).. why would you say that?" Tobi asked pulling her as close as possible to him.

(Y/n) tried to stop her tears, she would choke here and there, but she managed to control them. She looked up at Tobi and grabbed his hand and took him to the bed. They sat down and she began to explain to him why she was acting like this.

"I had a dream that we were all playing hide and go seek and everyone was hiding, but me. I found everyone pretty quick except for you, so I walked outside taking the path we always take when we go for walks and I ran into some of the ninjas from the Hidden Leaf Village who wanted to take me back home. Everyone started fighting and getting hurt and I couldn't find you anywhere and then I got hit with one of Deidara's explosions and that's when I saw you before I fainted.. I just don't wanna lose you, Tobi. You mean the world to me." She said hugging him and crying again.

"(Y/n)...." Tobi said hugging her back.

Tobi's heart ached as he watched (Y/n) cry in his arms. He felt as if what he said to Zetsu about killing her was a mistake. He doesn't want to kill her, he actually wants to protect her. He would completely forget that Rin even existed when he's around (Y/n). Tobi started to grow feelings for her and was worried about how his feelings could affect everything and everyone.

"Tobi will never leave you! Tobi will always be here for you and Tobi will protect you!" Tobi said squishing her.

(Y/n) looked up at his mask, her eyes started to sparkle when she heard those words.

"R-really? You promise?" (Y/n) asked.

"Tobi promises." Tobi said wiping away her tears.

(Y/n) smiled at his actions and pulled herself together. She grabbed his hand and walked back to the living room where the others were. They all looked at her a bit concerned.

"What happened, hm?" Deidara asked.

"Are you okay?" Itachi asked getting closer to her.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Just had a bad dream and it felt too real. Don't worry, I'm fine now." (Y/n) said, she looked over at Tobi and smiled at him.

Itachi narrowed his eyes at Tobi and walked back to where Kisame was. Kisame grinned as he saw the look in Itachi's face.

"Hey, you guys wanna play a ga- I mean watch a movie?!" Tobi asked almost forgetting that 'a game' was the reason (Y/n) was crying.

"You guys like scary movies?" (Y/n) asked with a vicious smile growing on her face. Almost everyone nodded except for Tobi.

"Hell yeah!" Shouted Hidan.

"Hmph, fine." Kakuzu said, crossing his arms.

"As long as it's good." Said Sasori sitting down next to Deidara.

Deidara scooted a bit back, so he could sit in front of (Y/n) while (Y/n) sat on the couch next to Tobi. Itachi came over and sat next to (Y/n).

(A/N: I'm just gonna make them watch The Grudge because that movie still scares me and creeps me out till this day..)

It was dark as hell in the living room while the movie was playing, it was loud enough to sound like you were in a movie theater. Kakuzu, Kisame, and Itachi weren't scared at all. Sasori was a bit weirded out by the grudge, Hidan was kinda into it, Deidara was a bit creeped out and a bit scared. Tobi and (Y/n) were definitely scared. They held each other close and everytime something scary was gonna happen (Y/n) would bury her face into Tobi's neck. Tobi could feel her warmth and enjoyed it so much, he would pull her closer everytime she got scared that he wasn't even scared of the movie anymore. When the movie was finished Deidara and (Y/n) were scared to go back to their rooms. Sasori started walking off and Deidara ran next to him, so he wouldn't be alone.

"Hey, wait up my man!" Deidara yelled as he ran beside Sasori.

Hidan and Kakuzu went to their rooms same with Kisame and Itachi. Tobi could tell (Y/n) was still scared, so he picked her up and walked to their room.

"You don't have to do this Tobi... I-I'm not scared." (Y/n) said, her voice was a bit shaky.

"I can tell you're scared, but don't worry I'm here now." Tobi said.

(Y/n) noticed something a bit off in Tobi's voice. It wasn't that sweet, childish voice. And it wasn't that dark, deep voice either. It kinda sounded pretty normal. She was pretty tired, so she thought she was out of it and started hearing Tobi's voice sound different, but Tobi didn't do that on accident. He doesn't want to keep secrets from (Y/n), but he doesn't want her to hate him for lying about his identity.

"Get some rest, okay?" Tobi said laying her down and caressing her cheek.

This made (Y/n) blush and smile a bit.

"Don't-" (Y/n) was cut off.

"I'm not. I'm gonna stay right here next to you." Tobi said getting in bed with her and pulling her close to him.

(Y/n) felt his arms around her and she could feel his warm body heating hers. This made her feel safe and comfortable, she wasn't scared anymore. She wasn't worried anymore, she forgot about everything and everyone and doze off in his arms.

"No one is gonna take you back home because you are mine now." Tobi whispered.
