Chapter 14

(Y/n)'s POV

"Uhh yeah sure Naruto." I responded.

I grabbed Naruto's hand and started pulling him away from everyone.

"Hey! Remember you can't be alone!" Deidara yelled.

"Oh, I'll go!!" Tobi squealed and ran towards Naruto and I.

"Okay Tobi, but I'm gonna need a little space because this is between Naruto and I." I made sure Tobi understood that.

Tobi nodded and we went somewhere a bit private for us. Tobi waited for Naruto and I.

"So..... what is it that you wanted to ask me?" I asked Naruto, giving him a sly smile.

"That guy.. with the mask. What do you guys have going on?" Naruto asked.

I looked at him confused, yet amazed.

"W-what do you mean?" I asked getting a bit nervous.

"You seem super close to him and it just looks like there's something going on between you two the way you act with each other." Naruto sounded upset.

I didn't know what to tell him. I don't even know what exactly is going on between Tobi and I. I do like Tobi, but I doubt Tobi feels the same way.

"Well?" Naruto asked, breaking me out of my thoughts.

"Nothing." I said, looking away.

"(Y/n).. I'm your best friend. You know you can tell me anything." Naruto said, grabbing my hand.

"I know.. I know you are, but trust me there isn't anything going on. Least not yet.." I said the last part low, so he wouldn't hear me.

I smiled at him and walked back to Tobi.

"You okay?" Tobi asked me, not in that childish voice though.

I smiled at him.

"Of course, why wouldn't I be?" My smile grew bigger.

For some reason I felt like Tobi was smiling behind his mask.

"I- there's something I need to tell you." Tobi said, he sounded a bit sad.

Naruto walked pass by us to where the others were. Tobi pulled me aside to talk about god knows what.

"What's going on?" I asked, my smile started to fade.

"I.. I have to leave for a mission." Tobi sounded really upset.

"So... you're leaving me?" I asked.

My eyes started to water as I fought back the tears.

"It'll only be for a little bit, I promise I'll be back soon." He said lifting my chin up to meet his sharingan.

"Okaay.." I whispered. "But who's gonna stay with me then?"

"Kisame."
