11. Metamorphosis PT. II

I am really getting tired at the sympathetic looks everyone giving us, getting off that police boat was a big mistake.

i just want to heat them up with my new-found powers but i can't because my father 'Harrison' told me so.

Being a boat accident survivor is one thing but getting this much attention from everyone is the worst.

I mean the whole city was destroyed by a storm why would you keep worrying about me? I'm just a boat accident surviver. Please leave me the f@ck alone.

Of course the golden boy Harisson would be enjoying every minute of it, what can i say he is a natural born attention seeking whore; eh that rhymed!

Thank goodness, the annoying Police officers let us go after taking an 'official statement' but what i'm still confused is why Harrison lied about the moonpool?

he said "We swam out of the boat and reached the surface and the island was the nearest thing to us so we swam to the island" everyone just followed his story.

We never told the police about the underwater cave, the magical moonpool and getting out of the cave. Of course we wouldn't tell about our powers that would be so stupid.

We lied to the police is that a crime? anyway this is 21st century who cares about crimes. What would the police do when they find out the truth?

It would be so funny watching their reaction when they figure out that we lied straight to their faces.

I got up at six changed my clothes and left home silently without waking up my so called father.

As i was walking passing by someone's house watching the sun rises, the beautiful orange mixed red coloured cloud is really beautiful.

Suddenly sprinklers starter going off. I quickly jumped and used my power to dry the water before it ruins my dry shirt  but it was too late.

I saw everything in slow motion. First water drop landed in my palm,  second drop in my hair and the next thing i know my shirt was fully wet.

i groaned looking at my wet shirt, thinking about drying it with my power but what if i burnt my skin?

Suddenly my legs started sticking just like i saw in my dream at Teng-Ko and i started walking fast towards the bush next to the house just in case tail appears but my legs slowed down and shiny lights starting to cover my body.

The next i know i was on the grasses covered in scales and with orange mixed yellow tail. It was shining in sunlight. My hair color is now fiery red mixed with orange.

I looked beautiful and i had a urge to go to sea and taste the salty water right now, i never felt like this before. I fighted the urge and started to dry my body using my power carefully.

After some minutes nothing changed, i was still wet and covered in scales. Am i stuck like this forever?

Usually i would say that 'this is fun' but im worried because it's dangerous if someone passes by this road they will see me.

I don't want to end up in front-page of tommorow's newspaper or worse a science experiment!

"Hello? is anyone here?" someone said.

The house owner? he must've heard me yell when i fell!

i started drying my body again as his voice gets near. That's when i saw the wet grasses.

i was laying on wet grasses! of course!
i put my hands on the grasses and steam started coming out of it.

The grasses turned brown. Ops! overdried! i continued drying my body.
