Chapter17~He's my meenakumari~

It's a Monday morning and manik was busy doing his work when Aman entered inside.

"Sir, you have to decide if the Fusion grade company got the project or not because we have to start working soon if he have to complete the deadline." Aman informed him in a professional tone and realisation dawned upon manik.

He was busy with nandini at the weekend so he forgot to inform to give a call to the company that they got the project.

From the day of the presentation he knew that the project belonged to Maira but he just wanted to break her ego.

"Yeah just give them a call they got the project and tell them that we are starting the project from tomorrow." He said with his eyes on the laptop.

"Yes sir will do." And with that he left.

"Navya I'm bored!" Nandini exclaimed and closed her books.

"Nandini murthy you just opened your books a minute ago what is wrong with you?" Navya said in an exasperated tone.

"I miss manik na." And navya rolled her eyes at her statement.

"He just went to work an hour ago can you please just study so that you can graduate from here." Navya scolded her and lightly slapped her head and nandini made a bad face.

"I will but let me call him for a minute then I will pakka study please." Nandini said with puppy eyes.

"Fine" Navya huffed and got busy with her work because she knew if nandini wants to talk to manik then let her talk to him. Because best friends you know.

Nandini got up excitedly and ran in the hall to get her phone. She immediately dialled his number.

"Hey what's up." Manik asked busy in his work.

"Quick question." Nandini said quickly and manik sighed shaking his head.

Quick question basically means nandini asking random dumb questions to him.

Manik closed the file and leaned his head on the back of the chair smiling.

"Fine go." He said and nandini smiled widely because she's doing this with his best friend after a long time.

"Okay so would you rather drink water all life or would you have any drink but a little pee in it." She asked and manik was literally confused.

"So that's a tough choice but I will choose any drink but it depends what colour of the pee is." He answered and nandini cracked on his answer.

"See that's why we are best friends who wants to have water all life. That's so boring." She said lying on the couch.

"Are you done now because I need to work unlike you unemployed chick. And why aren't you studying again?" He asked.

"Because I miss you meenakumari." She said sweetly.

"Stop with your sweet act it's annoying." He said with his nose scrunched.

"I can be sweet too okay." She said sitting up straight clearly offended by his statement.

"I know okay I got to go now." Manik said in a hurry and hung up. Nandini made a bad face that she didn't get to talk to him more.

Nandini is kind of a girl who gets grumpy when she can't get attention.

"Are you done talking to him?" Navya asked as she came back with pancakes for her. Such a sweetheart she is.

"No I'm coming in an hour don't wait for me bye." Nandini said as soon as she picked her bag and left from the door and navya just shook her head at this stubborn head.
