"It hurts Navya! It hurts so bad!" Nandini cried blowing her nose in the paper towel.

"I know it does" Navya hugged her to soothe her.

"Can you please stop you've been saying this for the past two hours. I mean when manik left it was understandable that you'll cry but now it is heights of irritation." Cabir said in a bored tone eating chocochip pancakes on the couch.

"Shut up you're not heartbroken I am and I'm leaking from everywhere." Nandini wiped her tears and nose.

"Well it's your fault, you're the one with daddy issues." Cabir shrugged and navya gasped.

"Cabir why would you say that?" Navya slapped his arm and looked at nandini who froze for a moment.

"Yeah I'm sorry that was insensitive!" Cabir apologised genuinely guilty as it was a slip of tongue.

"No you are right I'm the one with 'daddy issues' and that's why manik is suffering." Nandini quoted.
"He doesn't deserve all the shit I throw at him!" She said with a distant look.

Manik was in his room working on his laptop when nyonika entered inside with his favourite hot chocolate.

She kept the tray on the coffee table and caressed his hair lightly which broke his trance.

"Can't you just rest for a day? The moment you are back you busied yourself in work. Look at you all tired!" She scolded him lightly and he hugged her from her waist.

"I don't want to have a free time!" He sighed.

"Did something happen with nandini?" Nyonica asked breaking the hug with a worried expression on her face.

"Yeah she just doesn't love me so I guess it's going to take a forever for me to get over her." Manik shrugged casually.

"Stop acting like it doesn't hurt. I know it does! That's why you haven't even talked to any of us properly." Nyonica scolded him and sat besides him on the bed.

"I lost her!" He whispered and kept his head on her lap.

"Did she say to you that she doesn't love you?" Nyonica questioned caressing his hair lightly.

"Ye-- NO" Manik sat with a jerk as realisation hit him.

"So how can you assume she doesn't love you?" Nyonica hid her smile.

"You're right she didn't say that she love me but she didn't either say that she doesn't. Mom you're a genius!" Manik kissed her cheek with a wide grin.

Well there's still hope.

"You shouldn't be too hard on her mom? She really loves you and your approval means the world to her. She must be devastated with your behaviour!" Abhi- nandini's brother explained sushmita kneeling on his knees as she was sitting on the bed.

"She is a brat abhi you know that!" Sushmita argued.

"But mom nandini has changed even manik told us when he came back right, she's responsible now." Mukti interrupted who was silently listening standing in a corner.

"Mukti can you shut up and please stop interfering!" Abhi said and Mukti cringed at his tone and immediately left the room.

"What was that abhi? This is not the way you talk to her now is it?" Sushmita glared at him which he clearly ignored.
