Regrets and Darkness (Hero's Shade)

Chapter 38

It's just a dream...it's Just a dream,I repeat in my mind as I walk through Ganondorfs tower.Those words are the only thing keeping me from losing my mind.I walk past the bones of dead Korkiri,and I swallow.Were is this leading to?When will it all end?

I stop at a door,and I open it.I take a small peak inside and shriek in fear.I slam the door shut.Inside the room were thousands of redeads.The only way to end this dream...is to reach the top of the tower.

I open the door and bolt through,but then I feel a arm on my shoulder.I turn slowly and see the face of a redead wearing a goron mask.I scream and run to Were I found another door.

I open it and bolt inside,right after that I slam it shut and look around.The room was covered in layers of giant mirrors.I look at one and stare at my hideous face.I turn away quickly in disgust,and hear a giggle.

I glare around and look for where the sound came from.In the corner of my eye,I see a child run past.I run towards it,but I realize,it's in the mirror.The child appears right in front of me,it's me...but younger.The kid giggles again and mouths,"What an ugly monster,Link can you defeat him for me?"

Link?Thats me!A hand appears on my shoulder and I turn to see the older me,the Hero of Time.He chuckles with empty eyes and whispers,"What have I done to myself?The Future must be terrifying!"He laughs and grabs his sword.I look at him in fear and run to the nearest door."Don't try running from yourself!"

I open the door and close it behind me.I sigh in relief,Does this thing go on forever?I look at a area filled with water,a small tree,and a temple.Dark Link lives here.I creep slowly and carefully,prepared to battle.Then he appears,Wait...it's not Dark Link,it's me,the Hero's Shade.

He swings at me and I dodge,I then bolt to the door at the temple and open it,only to close it right after.Please...be the last room.I look up and see,the Great Deku tree.I walk towards him,"Is this the end?Because I'm not enjoying this."

He only smiles and says,"That's too bad,I was having so much fun torturing you in so many ways!"Blood starts to poor out of his eyes,and I scream.The blood lights on fire and starts to burn the Deku Tree into ash.Tears poor down my face and I scream,"WHY MUST YOU DO THIS TO ME?!WHAT HAVE I EVER DONE TO YOU?!"

I hear a loud demon like laugh and see the Fierce Deity appear at the ashes."You never done anything to me,but you done so much to the ones you loved."Behind him,a army of zombie like versions of everyone I ever knew started to charge towards me.Then they rip my skin,my hair,everything,even my heart.All I Do is lie there,covered in painful tears.
