Regrets and Darkness (Hero's Shade)

Chapter 39

"Shade!SHADE WAKE UP!!!"I wake up in sweat and tears.Right in front of me was Link.I look behind me and see my helmet and my shield on the floor.My helmet.I look around and see bones on the floor,Memories of the nightmare I had flash before my eyes,and I start to panic and shake.

I start to yell and shout cries of fear.I start to cry."Shade!"Link wraps his arms around me and starts humming the song of Healing.I calm down and he wipes my tears with his hand."She told me everything,Link,she told me how much pain you been through,Zelda,she told me.She brought me here and you were lying on the floor without a helmet."

I look up at him and he whispers softly,"I never knew you would look so much like me without that ugly helmet."I smile a little bit,but then point at the bones.

"Oh,you kept summoning random monsters while you were asleep.They look so different compared to the ones we have now,I never knew redeads can be absolutely terrifying."

I look back up at him,but his face looks so much like the one I remember from the room of mirrors.I start to panic again and  he tries to calm me down,"Shade!Its fine ok!Its over,There gone!"

I stop,and I'm filled with the feeling of depression.
He then says,"She just appeared,Out of no were!And she took me here,she told me stuff,but she didn't tell me how you got onto the floor.And she didn't really take me back,she just disappeared as fast as she appeared!"

I'm still looking down,Why would she bring him here?And then tell him everything,she clearly told me not to tell him.He sits down to my level and moves my hair aside to show my Fierce Deity half."Can you tell me how you got these markings?"

I open my mouth to speak,but nothing comes out,so I close it without saying a word.The reason I won't say anything...I Because I'm scared.He sighs and changes the topic,"How did you get this scar then?"He points at the The scar that went over my eye.

Again,I say nothing.Then a bright light appears right by me,I feel a burning feeling and I make pained noises while I crawl away.My entire body aches,I can barely move my legs.

Zelda appears in the light and looks at me pityingly.Link covers me and shouts,"Why are you forming light so close to him?!You know that light injures him badly!"
Zelda looks down with guilt,"He failed the test,say goodbye,because I'm going to kill him."

I look at her in fear,I can't die,not now,not with Link here!I try to shout but nothing come out,not a sound.Zelda looks up at me,"Can't talk can you?...It's a spell...to keep you from stopping me with temptations."

She summons a bow of light and aims at me."Sorry...link...it's for his own good."Its for Link,the Hero of Twilights own good?She continues,"You...might kill him,and Hyrule can't risk that."

I feel tears run down my face.Link shields me and exclaims,"How will this help me?!He is making me stronger!What good will it do if you take that strength away?!"

Zelda is angered,"Save your life,but if I must kill you to get my way,so be it,the next incarnation will save Hyrule instead."
