Grey smiles shyly, “I’ll leave you to it Ant.”
I look at Grey questionably, what was happening? What did they need to tell me?
Grey gets up and leave. I turn my attention to Antony, who also smiles shyly at me, “w-what?”
“Ginger, you remember what I said about Alex?”
I shake my head.
“At the party, he wasn't there to make sure you have a good time. He was there for… himself. To make sure he had a good time!”
His face looked as if he was remembering a bad memory, “you-”
“Antony! What are you saying? So what if he was there to have a good time, I-”
“You don’t get it, do you?” Antony starts to get frustrated and shakes me by my shoulders. “Ginger listen to me!”
“Antony you don’t understand, Alex is my friend!”
Antony looks more frustrated and pinches the bridge of his nose, “Ginger, Alex was trying to rape you!”
I stare eye- wided at him, I could not believe what he had just said. If only he knew Alex like I did. I mean, yes he could be perverted at times, but for God's sake, he was my friend!
Alex would never! Not now, not in a million years!
“Antony! Don't say that!”
I hop off his bed and leave his room as fast as I could. I couldn't listen to his nonsense anymore.
He didn’t understand and I don’t think he ever will!
On my way out, I bump into Grey.
“Ginger, what happened?”
“Grey-” I leave the hallway and walk into my room not completing my sentence.
I take a seat on my bed, trying to process what had just happened.
Once again, I was lost.
