Damian

Ahh, the air's so fresh up here.

Viewing the city at this height has always been my favorite. Miami has the best view at night. As soon as we got to The Slant I was the first one up. The smooth marble underneath my fingertips gave me that first jolt of adrenaline. And it was only the beginning. Once I made it to the roof tops, I usually waited for the others before continuing and took that time to do a little sightseeing. Whenever we ran a course we make sure that we at least stay in each other's sight in case of an accident.

"Oy!" Knocking me out of my trance, Cortez slapped me on the back, motioning that we were all here.

"You gonna stare out into the city all night or are you ready to conquer this course?"

Taking one last glance back towards the night sky, I jog over to the others. Running from one edge of the roof to the other I jump, taking a huge leap and tumble roll into a perfect landing onto the next roof. Smiling, I turn back towards the others.

"Hey, you guys coming or what?"

Asher chuckles and shakes his head calling back,

"Show Off!"

Sliding under clotheslines and maneuvering through billboard bottoms, we came to a low roof. Gaining extra traction for a presumably harder landing, I sprint across the gap but voices and movement from below catches my eye. Becoming distracted for that split second made me lose my footing and come down way too hard on the edge of the roof.

"Damian, estas bien?" Cortez calls from the other side of the roof.

I signal that I'm okay and to go on without me. Looking down I see a girl surrounded by about 4 guys.

What the...

I drop down to an old metal ledge out on the side of the building. My foot slips and I kick a brick loose, falling down into the ally below.

"What the hell was that?"

Crouching down I noticed that the brick had knocked some guy to the ground.

Oh boy.
