Kaija
Huff, huff, huff!
As my feet rapidly hit the pavement, I weave my way thru the not so crowded streets trying to avoid my pursuers. Glancing back I can still see them hot on my trail.
Shit, shit, shit! How do I keep getting myself into these kinds of situations?
Looking for cover, I make a left turn into an ally thinking I could find a nice fence to climb. Unfortunately, I had no such luck. At the end of the ally all I find is a huge brick wall.
Great.
Trying to back track I turn around only to be faced with the four guys from the park. Taking a few steps back I hit the brick wall, the cool dampness of it causing chills to run up my back. I'm surrounded. Bouncing nervously I start to think.
What to do, what to do? We never trained for this type of situation in my self-defense classes.
Scoping out the situation I realize that they are in some sort of formation: The water boy in the front closest to me, the two new guys a few steps back flanking his left and right and the other guy from the park directly blocking the exit.
"So, gypsy girl, we know you can dance," looking me up and down, he bites on his lower lip in that sleazy play boy way.
"Wonder what else you can do?"
He takes a step towards me and out of nowhere a brick falls from the sky and clocks him right on the head, knocking him to the ground.
"What the hell was that?" One of the guys spouts but me not leaving a moment to spare, grip my bag and start my escape.
While they're distracted I quickly slide past him, drop down low and swing my legs in a helicopter motion swiftly knocking the other two flat on their backs. Jumping back up, I turn around to see the guy with the huge arms guy start to charge at me. Before I can react however, a large shadow falls out of the sky and lands on top of him with a giant thud. Frozen, I stare as the guy lies still, sprawled out on the pavement. As the shadow starts to raise it seemed to loom almost a whole foot and a half over me. In the darkness of the ally, only a dim street light illuminates the shadow and the only thing I can see is shining eyes.
