The next few hours were a blur. I remember going to sleep, and then waking up to my alarm, and persuading Bri, Cora, and Amy to get up. After getting them up, I took a shower and put on an outfit. (A beige sweater, and some leggings, because planes were super cold!) I brushed my cold wet hair and blow-dried it, but I didn't get far because Amy needed to shower and then blow dry her hair and I wasn't gonna fight back.
When we finished getting ready, we managed to pack all of our things, (minus the phones) and get it all out into the hall within thirty minutes.
As soon as everyone was ready, we went into the lobby and Mark returned our cards. Then, we got an Uber and head to the airport. A place I didn't find most directly fun. Seeing as we took like thirty minutes to get through security, and that didn't even mention that we were hungry and annoyed.
We ended up at the Starbucks in the Airport, and we all got something to eat or drink. I, myself, got a hot chocolate and a big brownie because I need sugar. Brianna and Cora ended up getting this cold coffee that Cora had begged Brianna to try with her. Amy got a black coffee (surprising.) Jake and Tyler got some coffee. (I didn't pay attention.) Mark and Jack got a shared coffee and Ethan had decided to drink my Hot chocolate and eat some of my brownie! (The nerve of that guy!) And Ari and Leon both got waters.
We sat at the gate and ate in drank in mostly silence, since a lot of us were still getting up. Ari ended up falling asleep in Jack's lap, and Leon passed out on Felix's lap, basically clutching his drink. My new Instagram story.
I sighed and pulled up my phone. I scrolled through Instagram and liked every picture because why not? I posted a picture with no filter with the caption, 'Back on a plane to L.A, super excited to be home and in my own bed.'
In an instant It had almost two hundred thousand likes. I giggled silently to myself. I glanced up and saw Cora and Amy talking about something. Brianna was curled onto Jake's arm half asleep, half staring. Jake himself looked tired, but he stayed awake for his sisters sake. Tyler and Ethan were talking about a new video idea with Mark.
I just watched the world around me. People walking and talking about, plane flights being announced, people running to their own flights. Some kids talking excitedly, some scared, parents were trying not to hit their kid.
Finishing with my drink, I stood up and slightly stretched, and walked over to the trashcan. I tossed my drink and the little bag the brownie came in, into the trashcan and walked back over to the gate we were waiting at. A-14.
As I sat down, they called for our gate, so getting all of our stuff and Felix and Jack holding Ari and Leon, we walked towards the gate. The man wished us a safe and good flight and let us through. We walked through, me in the front, Cora, Brianna, and Amy behind me, Jack and Felix holding Ari and Leon behind them, and Mark, Tyler, and Ethan in the back. I stepped onto the plane and checked my ticket out. During some free time, Ethan had showed me how to check the ticket properly, so I knew where to sit.
I was in the third row, and I hurtled myself to the window seat. This time, it was me, Ethan, and Tyler sitting together, instead of me, Ethan, and Cora. I didn't know Tyler that well, but it didn't matter nonetheless.
The plane slowly but surely went into the air, slightly pushing me back into my seat, but then releasing and letting me breathe freely. I inhaled slightly, and closed my eyes. I imagined I was flying, but without the seatbelt buckle. It wasn't very easy to do that when the seatbelt was basically suffocating my waist.
I rubbed my eyes and pushed a strand of hair behind my ear. I glanced over at Ethan and Tyler, and the sight made me giggle. Tyler was scrolling through his phone, and Ethan was watching him. I teasingly poked Ethan's side, getting his attention.
