~*Prue's POV*~
I came to the conclusion that I would sneak out of the pack hospital through the window in my room. To add more to my time I turned the light on in the bathroom and locked it from the inside so they would think that I was just relieving myself.
Getting out the window was fairly easy since my room was located on the first floor. The hard part was not getting cut by the bushes that were kept right outside of it. If anyone caught scent of my blood before I was well out of pack territory, all of my efforts and planning would have been for nothing.
I safely got out of the hospital without being spotted but it would be difficult getting in and out of the pack house without being spotted.
When I arrived a short while later I snuck around to the back of the house where my bedroom window was located. Sadly this is not one of those cliché stories where there is a tree conveniently outside my window.
After a short while of weighing my options I came up with a brilliant plan.
I started making my way to the cellar doors a few feet away and quickly slipped inside of them. I immediately start to look for the hidden stair case I found when I was eleven and hiding from my tormentors I call a pack, or used to anyway.
What most people don't know is that there is a hidden servant's stairwell that was used many years ago when there still were workers here. Now the workers were just housewives that like to help out. The stairwell went to each floor of the pack house and this was in my favor.
I finally found it behind a shelf of old supplies and hurried up to the third floor, I was in a lot of pain but I ignored it. I could worry about that later, when I was safe. Before I opened the door I strained my poor ears for any heartbeats on my floor.
Nothing.
I had expected as much. My floor consisted of teenagers that were most definitely at the party. I may have not been able to shift but my senses were better than that of an ordinary human.
I slowly tip-toed down the hall passing by each one of the black uniformed doors until I reached mine. Carefully I opened the door until I was able to slip in unnoticed. As soon as the door closed I speedily tore through my room grabbing the bare minimum of what I needed, including the savings my mother left to me when she died.
I inherited it when I turned 18 and I kept it a secret from the rest of the pack members, saving it in dire emergencies. If they knew they would surely take that away from me too. Changing out of my hospital gown into new clothes, I finally finished packing what I needed in a small drawstring bag and left Shanley a note on my desk. Next, I went to the storage closet on my floor. It had a fridge stocked with food along with a microwave and I silently I thanked the laziness of teenagers these days because otherwise I would have to risk exposure from a housewife in the kitchen.
I hurried and left the way I came thanking the Moon Goddess that I wasn't caught.
Perhaps I spoke to soon.
As I was making my way through the forest I was trying to be quiet but I suddenly became dizzy for a moment and fell to the ground making quite the amount of noise.
Now, of course I was listening for guards nearby to make sure I didn't run into them but my hearing went only about a mile away in all directions, of course that was only for the small things like footsteps. Unfortunately for me a warriors hearing spreads out within a five mile radius in the best circumstances.
The next thing I know I am being chased by two warriors and they are a little over a mile behind me, judging on my horrible hearing. I can barely even make out the sound of their footsteps. The only indication that tells me they are still there is them yelling at me to "Stop". In any other situation with any other wolf they would have talked to me and asked me where I was going. But given the fact that I am who I am, and the fact that I am carrying food and clothes signifying me leaving the pack, I ran.
