I reread the text conversation between Harry and I several times as I fumbled with the buttons on my shirt. "Lou, it's going to be ok." Zayn said and put his hands on my shoulders. I bit my lip and looked up at him. "This is my first date in a long time and it's with someone who knows about my medical condition." He nodded and leaned against the wall. "He must like something about you if he's taking you out and I know it's not because you're in a wheelchair." He said as my phone pinged

from: Harry
I'm outside

"He's here." I said to Zayn. Zayn smiled and patted my shoulder. "Have fun, I'll be here if you need me." He said and I nodded. I grabbed my keys and my wallet before rolling out of our apartment. I went down the elevator and smiled when I saw Harry standing in front of his car. He was wearing a light pink buttondown shirt, with some of it unbuttoned, and a pair of skinny jeans. "Ready?" He asked and I nodded.

Harry drove us to a restaurant and parked in its driveway. "Do you like diner food?" He asked as I looked at the sign. Denny's was lit up in yellow letters and I smiled softly. "Yeah." I said and he nodded before getting out. He got out my wheelchair and picked me up to put me in it. I felt myself warm up as his arms gently wrapped around me. When he put me in my wheelchair, I smiled and rolled inside with him.

I laughed at a joke Harry told me and ate a mouthful of pancakes. "That was so lame." I chuckled. He smiled. "What can I say, I'm the king of puns." He smirked. I rolled my eyes playfully. When we finished, Harry paid and we left. He picked me up and put me in the car before getting in the car himself. "Did you have fun?" He asked me nervously and turned the car on. "Yeah, I had a lot of fun." I smiled and he smiled too before beginning to drive.
