Luke didn't slept when Alec came home very late. He sat on the table and drank some beer while looking out the window, Alec wanted to ignore him at first but then he turned to him "Why didn't you tell me?", Luke sighed "maybe we should talk tomorrow, how is Magnus?", "no, I want to talk right now? Why you didn't tell me that you tried to save my family?", Luke put the bottle aside "I didn't knew how to look into your eyes and tell you that I wasn't good enough to save them", Alecs eyes burned, "You just..look, when I saved you four years ago, I saw a young, scared boy who was about to turn into a monster, trough all this you were brave and you were strong, I knew that you will stay with me", Alec just looked at him, Luke wished trough his eyes "your sister died in my arms, her last words were: save Alec", Alec felt his tears falling down his cheek, Luke shaked his head "come here, kid", Alec threw himself in his arms while Luke heard him crying, he rubbed Alecs back and waited until he calms down "you would make a great alpha but now..go to sleep, you smell like you were bathing in blood", Alec laughed while wishing his cheeks "it's Magnus", "I'm happy that you found someone who looks for you, Magnus is a vampire but he is the good one, right?", Alec nodded, "Now go" he slapped Alec's shoulder and Alec walked up to his room. He felt tired and heavy. He just removed his shoes and fell on the bed. But it didn't lasted long until he flinched in his sleep and sat down. He dreamt of Valentine and the silver. The painful torture and Valentine's grin. Alec wanted to call Magnus at first but then didn't wanted to wake him up. He showered. Wore fresh clothes and still couldn't fall asleep. It was terrible, everytime he closed his eyes he saw Valentine. He felt trapped in a cage. Alec layed back and looked at the celling, he didn't slept even a hour.
