Chapter 9

Alec and Magnus walked down the stairs in the big basement that was under the abandoned church. When Magnus entered the big room, he saw big scratches on the wall that must be from Alec while he was turning. Alec put the bag on the floor and sighed "I don't know why I still can't control my turning but you really need to stay away from me when it begins, alright?", Magnus nodded "Yes, of course", "outside are the big metalic padlocks, you close the door and put chains around the lock, got it?", "yes", Alec breathed out nervously and put the chains around his hips and then Magnus put each one around his hands. Alec sat on the floor and leaned back on the wall, Magnus sat in front of him on the other wall. "H-how did it happened?" Whispered Magnus, "it was..unexpected" sighed Alec with hoarse voice "I was with my family..Mom, Dad and..my sister Izzy, it was one of the rare times where we spend time as a family and then.." he swallowed "a big monster jumped at us, the next thing I remember is the pain in my chest" Alecs voice broke "I saw my family..dead" Alec burried his head in his hands "they were all dead and then the police officer locked me up, I don't know why but at the full moon, my first turn I killed everyone, Maia found me in the woods and told me I killed five people until no one could recognise them anymore, I'm..I'm a monster, that's why I wanted to stay from everyone", Magnus wanted to touch Alec, hug him but he understood that it would be better if he left Alec some space. "I don't know why I can't control myself in these four years, I want to be one of the pack but I need to chain myself in this fucking basement like some kind of psycho", "You're not" said Magnus softly "you need time", "How many people should die until my time comes?", Alec looked out the small window above "there isn't some kind of magic that let me be human again?", "I ask myself the same thing while drinking blood". A while they just sat there, looked at each other while waiting until Alec turn into a monster. Alec looked out the small window and sat the moonlight coming in, he already felt sick "you should go", Magnus stood up "I'll be there..for you, alright?".
