The questions kept running through my head, and they were for so many different people. The ones that kept coming up were the ones to my parents.
The second day in this horrid place, known as the hospital, was worse than the first. The food sucked, I was alone except when the nurses came in to check up on me. This day was completely different than the first. The first day I was never alone between Samantha, and Officer Alex coming in and talking to me. Apparently if I wouldn't of fought as much as I did on the first night, I could've left but that's the great thing about losing your parents, you lose your mind too.
According to my phone, I had been left alone for the past three hours, a new record. Just as I was complementing the record, the door opened. I was used to not seeing people I knew, so I didn't look, but when the nurse walked up to the side of the bed, I was shocked. It was Samantha. She looked sad still, great.
"Hey," I said trying, desperate for her to talk. I was tired of silence.
"Hey." That's all I got. I knew with the simplicity of the word, she was still hurt about me kicking her out.
"Samantha, I'm sorry I kicked you out. That was a lot to take in, you know?"
"I know... But I'm sorry. I should've told you in a better way than that."
"It's okay. I'm glad I found out from you, rather than someone else. Samantha, did you ever find out who my real father was?"
The question earned a look of pure confusion. "Um... Yeah, I did. But just I was about to come tell you, a social worker stopped me, and told me that if i told you, they would get me fired..."
"Oh," was all I could mange. This news was fantastic, it added on to the pile of crap, I called my life. Both my parents died, I have no other family, there's the funeral I decided I wanted to plan, there's the unknown man I'm supposed to call my dad, and it's like the world decided my life wasn't interesting enough, let's and a social worker.
"Samantha?"
"Yes?"
"I know this is a lot to ask, but I don't know who else to ask. Can you help me plan my parents funeral?"
A few seconds passed by, and it looked like she was still thinking. "I guess, but tomorrow when you leave with the social worker, she might not let you plan it."
"I just want to say goodbye..."
