Chapter 7

        The car ride was silent. Emily left the hospital in a different car, which I wasn't too surprised about. Well this is just fan-fucking-tastic I thought.

        "So, Kimberly, are you hungry?"

        The question took me off guard, like oh you actually care? WOW! "No," I say just as my stomach started to growl. 'Shut up stomach!'

        "I think your stomach is defying you," Marcus said in between laughs. 

        "Well, I guess you already know the truth, so don't make me say it."

        "Good to know your stomach told me the truth," he said with a smirk marked all over his face. 

        The car went silent again. 

        About ten long minutes went by before he spoke again. "Kimberly, do you have a nickname I can call you?"

        "I do, but only family calls me it, and since technically, you are my father, I'll give it to you. My nickname is..." I couldn't give it to him. He was my father yes, but blood doesn't make a family. Love does. And he doesn't love me, and I don't love him yet. Giving him the only thing I had left from my real dad would just seem wrong.

        "What is it dear?"

        "It's... I'm sorry, I can't give it to you. At least not yet. I just met you, and to give you something that I only had with my family is something I want to keep special.."

        "It's ok dear. I understand," the look on his face made me feel bad, but that's one thing I will not let him know. " I hope you like Italian food."

        "Actually, it's my favorite," as the words fall from my mouth, we pull into Olive Garden. Ever since I was a child, it has been my favorite place to eat.

        "Glad, to hear," he said with a smile plastered all over his face. I just hope it's real.

Hello readers. So sorry for the late update, school and band have got me so busy, and I just haven't had time to write. I'm debating something and I need your help. You can message me, or comment, or whatever you want. So, here's the thing. I have chapter 8 written, only thing is, it's not completely finnished, I can put it up tommorrow, or sometime in the next few days, but it will have a cliff hanger, or I can update it when I have it comepletly finnished, but I don't know when that will be.
