"Got it," Samantha asked.
"Yes." We came up with a plan to say good bye to my parents. The hospital security would be on break at two in the morning, that's when I would sneak out, and meet Samantha at the elevator close to my room. From there, we would go to the morgue and I could have my last words. It was mediocre, but I don't care.
"Alright, well I'll see at 2 in the morning."
"Bye Sam."
The door closed, and I was left alone again. The quietness of the room was about to make me fall asleep, but then that damn door opened again. I looked over at the doorway to see a face that I didn't recognize starring at me. The women at the door had a pretty face, if she didn't look dead. Her face color was pale, her eyes that were the color of the ocean, looked dull.
"Who are you," I asked with a little bit of sass, but not enough for her to notice.
"I'm the person that is going to get you out here. Today."
"What's your name?"
"I'm your social worker, Emily."
Great, the social worker who was going to take me to my new unknown life was here. Wait a second, the plan! "I thought i had to stay another day?"
"It's a good thing you have a person here that can pull some strings, huh?"
"Does Samantha the nurse know?"
"I don't know, and why should I care?"
"Sorry, I just thought I would ask."
"Whatever, just go get ready to leave." The women threw a bag at me that had clothes, stuff for a much needed shower, and god... Is that.. "Um... Is that makeup..?"
"Yes, it is."
"I don't wear makeup."
"Today, you will. You're meeting your father today, so you will be putting it on." Wow. That whore nugget said 'my father'. That son of a bitch is NOT my father.
"Fantastic," I mumbled to myself and went to the shower.
When I got into the bathroom, that was twice the size of my bedroom at home, I slid down the door and started crying. The tears weren't for my parents, they were for the new life that greeted me when I left the hospital, they were for the life that I had just lost, they were for the unknown.
After five minutes of silent crying, I finally got, and took the shower that was way passed over due. The hot water greeted my tense muscles like an old friend, and it felt great. Half way through the shower I felt my legs, and they felt nasty. The hair was past the prickly stage, the were just fuzzy. The bag that Rhonda, was that her name? Anyway, I looked in the bag that the whore nugget threw at me to see if there was a razor, and thank god, she put one in there.
The shower lasted a lot longer than expected, but I don't care, that means more time here, instead of my new life. I opened the door to the unneeded walk-in shower, and walked toward the mirror. The mirror was foggy, so I used the hand that wasn't holding up my towel to wipe off the fog. I was shocked when I saw the person starring back at me. This person was not me, my hair looked like it had faded from the colorful red to a dull shape of red, my eyes look lifeless, my freckles still covered my face, but they look rearranged because I lost weight. The bag that was thrown at me, sat on the floor, and inside was the make up. I picked it up, starred at it, and threw it back in. I would've put it on, but I didn't care enough.
The clothes that was chosen for me to wear was hideous. A dress that had a bow on the side, strapless, and pink was not my thing. "I look five," I thought to myself. "Well better get this over with," I said as I walked out of the bathroom.
When I walked into the room a man I've never seen stood up from my bed, and said, "You look beautiful, my daughter."
