"that was really fun," Carl says we are driving back home "yeah they seem to really like you," I say and look at the attractive man beside me, " well what can I say I am handsome," he says and I roll my eyes at him and chuckle. We park the car in front of the house and start making our way out, going inside "great your back go upstairs and change into a dress and get ready come on up up up" Aubrey says as soon as I step a foot into the house "wow what?" I ask confused "we have somewhere to be," she says and we start making our way inside my room, Aubrey starts to straighten my hair and after she finished she tells me to do my makeup and get dressed since she also needs to get dressed.
After an hour I look myself in the mirror and smile, I am wearing a dress that stops at my ankles, it is a dark red color and has sparkles, my whole back is showing and I am wearing the same heels from before. My makeup is simple just a red eyeshadow and a nude lipstick not wanting too much. "are you-damn Jesus" Aubrey says as soon as she walks into the room "well Carl is so gonna eat you today" she says and my eyes go wide "AUBREY!" I scream making her burst out laughing. "come on we need to leave" she says and I nod, I look at the time and see it is 9 pm damn I took long to get ready "where are the boys?" I ask and she smiles "already left," she says and I sigh and nod my head.
After a couple of minutes, she parks the car and we all go out "where are we?" I ask as I see a hotel looking place in front of me "come on stop talking" she says and as we walk in it is all dark which makes me frown, but within seconds the lights are on and all my friends from work and the race are all standing screaming happy birthday "oh my god!" I say my hand flying to my mouth "surprise" Aubrey says from beside me and I immediately hug her. After saying hey to everyone, now everyone is dancing drinking and having fun, I am standing and talking to Teresa "Where is Carl?" she asks and I shrug , I scan the room and my eyes land on Carl whos standing by the bar talking to a girl who has blond long hair and is wearing a white jumpsuit with Black heels "should we go say hey?" she asks and I shake my head "you go ahead I just have to find Aubrey" I say and she nods and we separate, I find Aubrey sitting down with Daniel and a couple of friends from race "birthday girl hey" Jan says and I smile and hug him "hey how are you?" I ask and he smiles "great," he says and takes a sip from his drink. We all start talking about literally random things, I feel a pair of eyes on me, I scan the room like before and they land on Carl who is standing alone by the bar and his eyes on me. "I will be right back" I say and start making my way towards him "hey" I say as I am in front of him, he looks at me up and done and shakes his head a little "hey, you look stunning Bella" he says and I smile "you do not look bad your self but here let me fix your tie" I say and move closer to him to fix his tie, I can feel him staring at me as I am fixing it which is why I hold my breath.
"you really look breathtaking" he whispers to me and My heart goes a flip, before I can respond I feel someone's presences behind me, I turn around and see the girl from before "hey you must be the birthday girl" she says and I give her a tight smile "hey ah yeah" I say moving beside Carl "I am Angela" she says and my breath hitches. "I am Isabella," I say and she slowly nods and takes a sip from her cup " you look beautiful," she says, I can see her fake smile "ah thank you, so do you," I say, this is so weird. Before she can respond Aubrey comes out with a cake in her head and everyone is singing happy birthday "make a wish!" they all scream, I quickly make a wish and blow out the candles and everyone cheers .
It has been a couple of hours and there are some people who left and some who are still dancing, I am sitting down with Teresa Jan and Chris "so he is a father?" Teresa gasps as I tell them about David and I nod and take a sip from my water bottle "he was an ass anyway" Chris says and Jan agrees. "hey people" Aubrey and Daniel come and sit with us and I give them a smile "this is so fun" Aubrey says and I chuckle "how much did she drink?" I ask Daniel and he laughs "lot, you know where Carl is?" he asks and I shrug "last time I saw him he was with a girl named Angela" I say and he frowns and starts scanning the room. "jeez it Is 1 am we need to get going" Teresa say and the boys follow, I stand up and give them all a hug "it was good seeing you again" I say hugging Chris and he nods "until next time and stop getting so sexy" he says and I roll my eyes at him "Jan control your boyfriend" I say and he laughs and shakes his head. After an hour everyone is gone, it is just me Aubrey Daniel and finally Carl "this was really fun" Daniel says and I nod "thank you guys, I really had a great time" I say and they all smile at me "well let get going home" Carl says and we all pick up our stuff and start making our way to the car, I am driving since Aubrey drank lot "you good to drive?" I ask Carl and he nods "yeah I only had one beer," he says and I sigh and nod.
I park the car and see the boy's car here, seems they came first. Aubrey and I get out of the car and go inside. immediately going to our rooms, I am exhausted, I walk into my room and sight as I am walking to the bathroom to change a knock comes from the door. I open the door and see Carl with a bag in his hand "mind if I come in?" he asks and I shake my head and open the door wider for him to step in, he comes in and sits on my bed and I follow after him sitting beside him "this is for you" he says and gives me the bag "Carl you didn't have to" I say shaking my head and he smiles " I wanted to" he says and gives me the bag "open it" he says and I slowly pull out the box and open it, gasping at the beautiful necklace. The necklace is a rose gold teardrop crystal, looking at it makes me think how much he spends "oh my god" I whisper "you like it?" I hear Carl voice and I look at him and smile "Carl, I love it" I say and he gives a breathtaking smile, I get up and stand in front of him "can you please help me?" I ask him and he smiles and gets up, I give him my back and he slowly removes my hair out of the way and starts to put the necklace on, my skin burns as he touches it.
"it looks beautiful, " I say and turn to face him, not knowing how close we are. We just stare at each other not saying a word, he seems lost in a different world which makes me frown "Carl?" I say his name and his eyes snap to my lips and he gulps "fuck it!" he says and before I know his large warm hands are on my cheeks and his gorgeous lips are on mine making my eyes close immediately. My chest explodes with butterflies and happiness, something I have never felt not even with David. His lips are soft against mine, he kisses me with so much passion I thought I was gonna faint in his arms by just thinking of it. My hands go on around his neck and I moan softly as his tongue is in my mouth, my hands go to his hair and start playing with it causing him to groan, I miss having his lips on mine, I want him. His hands go on my bare back making me arch my back and moan, he grins into the kiss, liking the effect he has on me.
I am glad I stayed in this dress.
He pulls out because we both need to breathe and I sight resting my forehead on his "wow" he says and I close my eyes and smile "yeah" I say and bite my lips, not meaning to. "mind spending the night with me?" I ask him and he nods his head "let me change and I'll be right back" he says and kisses my cheek.
