Chapter nineteen: Taco Bell Gone Wrong

Isabella pov

I slowly open my eyes when I feel a soft hand rubbing up and down my arm, sending shivers all over my body. I turn to my left and see Carl, "morning" he gives me a soft smile which I return "morning" I tell him and sight "how did you asleep?" I ask and he moves closer to me "honestly I have not slept so good in my entire life" he says and I chuckle, his hand go on my hair and he starts playing with it "I really don't wanna work today" I tell him and he sights "yeah me too I rather stay here with you" he says and I smile and look up to him "is that so?" I ask and he smirks and nods, leaning in slowly. His lips on mine just feels so right, he gentle sits up with me on his lap, he softly groans as my hands pull his hair softly, I pull back and he hums "I would love to wake up like this every day" he says and I smile and put my head on his shoulder and sight "me too" I say, his arms going around me and hugs me. I jump away from Carl as the door burst open and Aubrey comes in view, her eyes go wide but then she smirks "ah love birds up, Danielle needs us" she says and I sight, Carl gets out of bed till shirtless and also sights. He looks at me and smiles and walks out, "what was that!" Aubrey asks as soon as he leaves and I chuckle "nothing he just spends the day in my room" I say getting up "Damn girl" she says and walks out making me laugh.

I quickly get up and walk to the washroom, I do my business quick and walk out to the closet, I change into leggings, a sweatshirt and a jean jacket. I put my hair in a ponytail and put on my Adidas shoes. I walk downstairs and walk into the kitchen to only see Carl "where are the others?" I ask and he shrugs "I bought you coffee" he says and I smile "your the best, thanks" I say and take the coffee from him "you hungry?" he asks and I shake my head "lets get going before Danielle chops of our head" I say and he chuckles and we start making our way to the warehouse.

"wait we don't have a mission?" I ask Carl and he shakes his head "no her daughter is sick in the hospital" he says and I nod and sit down on the couch. Daniel and Aubrey went out to eat but Carl and I stayed in, my hands reach the necklace and I start playing with it when I feel my side dip, I turn my head and see Carl "it looks beautiful on you" he nods to the necklace and I smile at him. His phones ring and he pulls it out, Angela, I slowly turn around pretending that I did see it. He did not pick up, he mutes his phone and put it back in his pocket. "wanna go eat out?" he asks and I nod "yeah I am kind of hungry now" I say and he chuckles "alright princess come on" he says and we make our way out. We get in a car and starts driving "what do you wanna eat?" he asks "taco" I say and I see him frown "taco?" he asks and I nod "why what is wrong with taco?" I ask and he shakes his head "oh nothing I should though you would pick a restaurant" he says and I chuckle "I would pick fast food over restaurants any day" I say, Carl puts his hand on my thigh and I freeze in my seat. My body feels on fire and shivers everywhere, I gulp "that's what I love about you" he says and rubs my thigh, my breath hitching.

He parks the car in front of taco bell, and I smile "ah home sweet home" I say and we both get out of the car, we walk inside and there aren't as many people, thank god. Carl and I ordered the whole menu, "I am so hungry" I say as we wait for our order, Carl chuckles at me "I can tell" he says and I look at him and smile. I did not get the chance to respond because next thing I know Carl is yelling at me to get down and shooting from everywhere. I quickly pull out my gun, yes now I carry gun it part of the job I need to get used to it. Carl and I both start shooting. I quickly take out my phone and call out for the backup, I go back up and start shooting trying to get down as much as I and Carl can. As the back up came everything stopped, Carl and I walked out of the store the guns still up in our hands. "you guys okay?" Alex, a guy that works with us ask and we nod our head, I slowly walk to one of the bodies that he got shut in the forehead, damn. "they work with James" Carl tells me as I walk back to him, I take in a breath and look around it, all these people died because of me today, James needs to stop.

"Where are you going?" Carl asks as I walk to a car "Back to the warehouse" I say and get in the car, Carl quickly comes and opens my door "my car is here I'll take us" he says and I shake my head "I need to be alone" I say and close the car door and drive away.
