The next morning had a much more gentle awakening than Diana's past morning.
Yohan waking and stretching next to her woke her up. She sleepily sat forward, only really waking up when she teetered and nearly fell of her branch.
"You really need to be more careful Diana." Terra mumbled from the branch underneath, holding tight onto Diana's wrist as she balanced herself.
"Thank you Terra- Why didn't you ever wake someone up for watch? You look as if you didn't sleep at all." Diana noted, starting her climb down after she'd unhooked her bag and threw it to the ground.
"I don't need sleep. I'm perfectly fine." Terra replied gruffly, helping both Diana and Yohan down from her position closer to the ground. At that moment Diana noticed how much like a mother Terra was acting. She was stern, but always assisting them as if they could do nothing by themselves.
"I'm fine." Diana said sharply as she finished climbing down herself, taking a good look around once she waited for Yohan to join her. Once he did, Terra immediately started babbling out a possible route they could take.
They made all decisions facing North, as to not get mixed up.
"And so, going both further West or North would work out. What do you guys think?"
Yohan agreed with going further North, and Diana suggested going diagonally between the two directions.
"We'd get further away from careers, if they're at the cornucopia still. I'm just guessing. Whatever way we go we'll still find danger, so it doesn't really matter."
Terra's head suddenly jerked up, as if remembering something.
"Last night the Capitol alliance passed under us going North. Out of four of them one of then was injured." Terra spoke stiffly- Diana across from her opening and then closing her mouth as she decided whither to ask if Trace was in that group or not.
In the end she just kept her mouth shut.
"I think the West-North idea is the best. Do we all agree on that?" Terra asked, sounding slightly bored suddenly.
"Sounds good." Yohan answered, Diana just nodding before they all started getting ready to move again. Packing up their stuff seemed to take too fast to Diana, who insisted on checking through everything again.
"We don't exactly have time.." Terra mumbled, though not moving to stop her as Diana knelt and started going through her supplies. Yohan followed suit, and after a while Terra broke as well.
"I'm missing my water."
"Where did my trail mix go?"
Diana bit her lip as she finished going through her own stuff, glad to find none of her stuff was gone.
"Did you guys put your bags on the ground?" Diana asked, already knowing the answer. "Under this bush?"
Making her way over to where Yohan and Terra had stashed their stuff, Diana took the position of a detective as she looked around.
"Oh, looks like the Capitol kids have quicker hands than you thought Terra..." Diana almost laughed, holding up a chunk of muted green hair- which probably got torn out as the uninjured Capitol girl stole the supplies with incredible speed. Enough speed that Terra wouldn't notice what was happening.
"They're a smart group. That's very tricky.." Yohan added as the alliance split their supplies evenly again.
"We won't underestimate them again." Terra said, mostly to herself as she shouldered her considerably lighter backpack. "Let's keep going."
