carl was throwing a tennis ball against the wall while i was reading a book on the floor. he's been doing great since the accident. it's been a few weeks, and he's trying to get this left eye used to doing everything.

rick called for carl. "rae, you come here too" he said. i closed my book and got off the floor. i jogged over to the door of rick's room.

"what's up" i said. "carl, it's time for you to change your bandage." rick said. "and i need to borrow some toothpaste from one of you" michonne added. "ok, but i'm out of toothpaste" carl said tossing the ball to his dad. "i have a little left. you can use it" i said to michonne. "thank you, you are a life saver" she said coming over and giving me a quick kiss on my forehead.

"bye dad" carl said turning around to me. "you coming?" he then asked quietly. "yeah hold up" i said assuming rick needed something.

i looked over at rick. "your dad and i are going for a run later. wanna join?" rick asked. "i don't know, maybe. i wanna stay with carl" i said.

carl and i has been super clingy to eachother since the accident. we came so close to loosing eachother that we are super afraid of what might happen.

i followed carl to our bathroom to help him change his bandage. he frowned when he took it off and looked at the mirror.

i grabbed his hands and turned him to face me. in silence i put a new bandage on him. i gave him a light smile when i was done. i put down the bandage material on the sink and then he grabbed hold of my hands.

we looked into eachothers eyes. "i love you" he said. "i love you too" i said with a smile. he then kissed me. while we were kissing there was a knock at the door. it was our dad's.

i pulled away, sighed, rolled my eyes, and then faced them. they were both smiling. "you comin'?" dad asked trying to hold in his laughter. "yeah" i said in an annoyed tone. rick let out a small chuckle. "shut up" i said before hugging carl. "be careful" he said. "i always am" i said with a smile.

i then walked out of the house with rick and my dad. once we left the house i playfully punched my dad in the arm.

he then let out a chuckle. us three got in a car. rick was driving, daryl was in the passengers seat, and i was in the middle back seat. i had my bow laying beside me.

eugene stopped us after he opened the gate with a map. while going down the road, dad and rick talked. rick clearly feels pretty good about this run.

rick then started playing music very loudly and dad was clearly annoyed by it. i just stayed silent in the back seat while watching the road.

a little ways down the road, rick made a wrong turn and had to go back. we eventually made it to a barn that eugene pointed out. it had the word sorghum on the front.

we got out of the car and i had my bow ready just in case. did used a crowbar to get the big garage door open. rick and i hopped right in with our weapons raised just in case. "we're good" i called out lowering my bow.

dad then opened the truck back door and rick and i once again got ready. i smiled at what i saw. this truck is full of supplies that could be extremely helpful. "the law of averages" rick said smiling. "yep" dad said hopping in the back of the truck.

i kept watch just in case. we decided to take this truck and come back for the car later. due to there being only two seats, i sat in my dad's lap. he didn't mind.

we decided to stop at a gas station. i got out of the truck first. dad then ran over to what looked like a vending machine that was flipped over. "yo, come give me a hand with this" dad said to rick and i.
