"Hey Julie, Jo", Ladybird called out for her friends the first time in a while. Both of them along with Darlene decide to ignore her and continue walking. "What do you want from them", Darlene aggressively snapped at Ladybird.

"Darlene can you excuse us?", Ladybird said politely while Jo went to hold Julie's hand her face still covered by her hair. "Darlene, stay", Julie said while softly holding Jo's hand back. "Jo are you okay?", Ladybird said as Jo went to meet her eyes. Jo's eyes were still slightly swollen while her pink nose gave her an innocence look.

"Yeah no thanks to you", Julie rubbed Jo as she went to look at the ground again. "Why aren't you in Algebra two?", Lady went straight to the point. "I switched sections", she answered back. "Why?", Ladybird felt a little betrayed by her.

"Aren't Jenna and Kyle enough? Sorry Jo", Julie said the last part softly. "I'm sorry that you're jealous", she defended her friend. "I think I'm going to go", Jo didn't want to hear the rest of the fight. But it still continued.

"Can't you do anything unless you're the center of attention, can you? Have you ever considered that maybe just maybe one of your best friend could had have a crush on a guy you barely knew. I spent so much time trying to mend a broken heart that you caused", Julie snapped.

"Yeah, well, you know your mom's tits? They're fake. Totally Fake", Ladybird was too much in the heat of the moment to know what was happening anymore. "She made a bad decision at 19!", Julie defended her mom. "Two bad decisions", now both Julie and Darlene went to look for Jo.

Ladybird and Jenna in her kitchen. Her real kitchen.

"So this is your house?", Jenna walked in and looked around. "Yeah", she answered a little shamefully. "The woman who lived in the other house was totally freaked out", the tan girl was still trying to understand. "That's my friend's grandma. That's her house", "Why did you say it was your house", Jenna was just searching for answers.

"I wished I lived in that house", Ladybird reached for the truth that explained it. "I don't even sort of understand why somebody would lie about that", Jenna looked her straight. "I didn't lie", Lady shook her head.

"You lied, you're a liar. I hate dishonesty", Jenna spoke her mind. "I'm sorry", Ladybird still didn't meet her eye. "Apology accepted, I guess", she halfway rolled her eyes. "Are we still friends?", the girl asked still concerned.

"I mean, if you're still Kyle's girlfriend and Josie's friend, then yeah, I guess I'll see you around", Jenna said before checking her phone. She honestly didn't see that spark Kyle had for Jo towards Ladybird but, who was she to say that couldn't be together.

Ladybird had looked around from being nervous and worried- is she still Jo's friend, is she still Kyle's girlfriend.

-

Kyle and Ladybird were sitting on his bed watching the news. It was important stuff to him but, he was still fazed out. Then his girlfriend brought him over for a kiss. That kiss turned to another until it was a full make out. It didn't feel right for him.

"I'm ready", Ladybird whispered in between. "What?", he didn't get it. "I'm ready... to have sex...", she said a little louder. "Okay, great", did he really wanted to do this. He wasn't even turned on. Her scent was something bothering it like it was dumped in factory perfume, instead of coffee like he like.

But, Kyle went to fetch a condom anyway. It was weird getting a condom on when you were soft was all that was going on his mind."You're so dextrous with that..oh", Ladybird said while he gave her a confused look.

They were sort of having sex now. She's still on top and it went on for a little bit. Then Kyle stopped moving.

"Are you? Done?", Ladybird asked. "Yeah. Yes", he just wanted to stop, he didn't like it. It didn't feel right. Plus the other times he did do it, he was drunk.

Both of them were now just chilling on his bed as Ladybird was looking through pictures. "Remember when "tie-dye" was an activity?", she asked playfully when she picked up a old picture of Kyle in a tie-dye shirt.

"I didn't make that shirt, my parents bought it for me at Sea Ranch, you can read "Sea Ranch" if you look close", Kyle was still thinking about his feelings from earlier. "Cut to 'ten years later'", Lady bird made her cheesy joke.

"What?", "Like how ten years ago you were in first grade and now we... cut to!", she went to snuggle with him. "What does 'cut to' mean to you?", Kyle was quizzical by her.

"Or like 'little did he know...", she broke it down. "Nothing you're saying makes sense", the only thing he could past together was the phrase was in a song. "How we're not virgins now! We deflowered each other. We have each other's flowers", Ladybird then goes to kiss him and tries to hold him but then backs off. "Sorry, I'm just happy"

"I didn't lose my virginity to you", I also don't think I love you.

"Wait- what", she had to take a double take. "I lost my virginity to Cassie Duval" he stated as she got of his chest. "Excuse me? You said you were a virgin.", Ladybird went to sit on the edge of his bed. "No I didn't. Because I'm not. And I haven't lied in two years", Kyle said.

"Oh Jesus", she muttered to herself. "Yeah, I've probably slept with, six people?", he honestly didn't know it was all a blur. "You don't even know if it's six people", Ladybird's anger was getting up.

"I don't keep a list", he thought that was weird. "Why wouldn't you keep a list we're in high school?", she was practically yelling now. "Why are you getting so moody?", her voice started to hurt his head.

"You did say you were a virgin", she clearly remembered that night. "I think you might have made an assumption", he pointed it out. "I just had a whole experience that was wrong", she went to sit down while Kyle opened up his book again then closes it.

"You're deciding to be upset", he was getting all the bad vibes from her. "No I am upset", she snapped back at him. All she has been doing to people was being angry at them these days.

"Because you're deciding to be. Don't be mad at me for this. That's stupid. You can't be mad at me for something I have no control over now", he reasoned. "I just wanted it to be special", Ladybird was doing her best to keep her tears.

"Why? You're going to have so much un-special sex in your life. So many people that don't love you", Kyle slightly pointed it out. "I was on top! Who the fuck is on top their first time!", she yelled at his face.

"Do you have any awareness about how many civilians we've killed since invasion in Iraq started?" , "Shut Up. SHUT UP. Different things can be sad. It's not all war", she went to cover herself with her shirt while Kyle went back to the head board an opened his book.

"Are we still going to prom together?", Ladybird asked. "Sure", Kyle responded half-heartedly.
