Changkyun's POV
It's been almost a month already, Hani hasn't even flinched. Even time the doctors came into the room to do her check-ups, it was the same exact response every time.
"She hasn't shown any improvement, but at the same time: she isn't in bad condition either." That was what we heard, every day. It was driving me up the walls already.
I don't understand, how can she be exactly the same?
Right now, I am the one who decided to watch Hani while everyone went to go get food and visit the other members. Hani was starting to catch a fever, so the doctors put ice packs all around her body to cool her down, even though the room itself was freezing.
At this point, I'm sorry to say it, I've been arguing with myself all week long, but I'm really not sure if Hani is going to make it...
Only one part of me is saying it, but the other refuses to lose hope.
"You okay, Changkyun-ah?" A raspy voice rings from behind me, making me whip my head to his direction.
It's Hyungwon, the current pinkette of the group.
"Oh, yeah, I'm fine Hyung. Just thinking." I respond, not wanting him to snap at me. All members wanted nothing but positive talk when being in the room.
"What are you thinking about?" He says, setting his tall, thin frame on to the vacant, plastic chair next to me.
"Can I ask you something? And I want you to answer honestly, don't sugar coat it." I blurt out. I know Hyungwon will probably yell at me for this, but I need someone to calm these stupid thoughts down.
"Sure, what is it?" He replies. His blue orbs never leaving my direction, his curious graze burns holes into the side of my face.
"...Do you think Hani is gonna wake up?" I finally slip out. I cringe slightly, expecting to be scolded.
"I can understand why you'd ask that. I mean, it's been weeks." Hyungwon huffs out. My cringing expression instantly contorts to pure surprise. Was he serious?
"It takes a matter of time. Yeah, it feels like she may not make it, but just keep the faith that you have. She needs it right now, and so do the rest of the EXID members." He continues on, looking me straight in the eyes, his dark orbs staring into mine.
He was right though, I have to keep my faith that she would awaken soon, for her sake and her members' sake. I know that they have it hard right now. None of the EXID members even want to step foot in this room, it's not that they don't want to, just seeing her like this, destroys them.
Most of Hani's wounds were cleared out, the gash on her cheek, was just a scratch that was as long as her index finger. Her ribs bruised internally and externally, but don't show through the pure white wraps that are meant to keep the pieces of her ribs together till they seam back into place. Hani's injuries are painful just by thoughts, but she can't feel a thing.
Despite the powder blue walls and white marble floors being the brightest parts of the room, aside from all the colorful blankets that many idols had brought for the female. Even though everything is bright, it didn't change the fact that the room was still depressing just being around.
Hell, this room is depressing just by being in a five-foot radius of it, let alone being inside.
"Just keep a positive attitude, she needs it, we all do." The pinkette concludes with. Then, giving me a light pat on the back before standing to his feet.
