My Light In The Dark ~ Book 1: Ripper's Fury

"There's something dangerous here!"

Maisie POV

Rain has been 11 for a while now but that's not the point of this. He got his wound from Casper Wu's knife glued up.

You can still see the scar though. It's been three months since I've seen Kara and I hope she hasn't killed any humans, just animals to feed on. The two months she was with me, i had stole, from the fishing outlet near me, worms. She ate them quite well, but then she started to get tall and I couldn't fit her in my pocket anymore and decided to release her into the wild. I put a collar with a tracker on it on her but I think she got it off... The location still rests at a lake... Wait... She picked it up! IT'S COMING TOWARDS THE MANOR!

4:48 PM

It is daytime...

Rain and I see Mr.Mills and a man named Gunnar Eversol. They walk into the elevator and we decide to follow them. Mr.Mills had yelled at me the previous day because I was asking if the dinosaurs were safe. That's when I called Rain and told him to come to the manor. The elevator doors  close and I rush to it and motion for Rain to come, too. Then the doorbell rings and Rain checks it out.

"Hey, Maisie, Hey, Rain!" Alli says. 

"Not right now GEE TEE GEE BYE!!!" I yell as Rain closes the door and runs back to me just as the elevator is opening.

"That was rude..." Alli said, upstairs to Lexi after Rain went to Maisie.

Rain and I rush in and we descent into the lab and this time, the table with Kara's egg on it is replaced with a white table with an apple computer on it, and a video up and ready to watch. Rain and I went to the table and there is only one chair to sit in, so I sit in his lap.

 The video has a man named Owen Grady training baby Velociraptors one in particularly named Blue. They all have names! Blue, Charlie, Delta and Echo! Owen at one point is trying to give them Beef Jerky and Charlie, Delta and Echo are not listening but Blue makes them and Owen looks at the camera and says, "Did you see that...?"

Then we hear the door open and Mr.Mills and a man walk in. I've seen this man that's with Mr.Mills before! He got sued a few times in 2015 after the havoc at Jurassic World. They say a few things before Rain decides to go down spiral stairs to escape. I follow, and so do Mills and Henry Wu.

Rain turns the corner to a hallway that is dark at the end. We turn around and start backing up slowly.

Rain is in front of me and I'm grasping his arm when I feel something touch my pony tail. It was very light so I just thought it was a fly. But then it grabbed my pony tail and started to lift me up off the ground.

"AH! HELP ME!!!" I screamed in terror.

At this point, I was probably five or six feet off the ground.

"HOLY MOTHER OF GOD!!!" Rain yelled.

I heard the loud and frantic footsteps of Mills and Dr.Wu.

"MAISIE?!?!" Mills yelled.

The creature that was lifting me up dropped me, making me fall to my doom until Rain caught me. I looked back into the cage to try to get a glimpse of the animal but I could not see it. A skull then rolled out from in between the black bars of the cage and it reached out its black, four clawed hand, grabbed the skull and pulled it back in, and crushed it with it's claws.

Mr.Mills and Dr.Wu turned the corner to find me in Rains arms.

"Maisie!" Mills yelled.

Rain then came back over a red line that I hadn't seen before. Mr.Mills ran up to me and Rain and opened his mouth about to scold me, but I opened my mouth instead!
