Rain walked with me to the place where I thought I saw a body.
"What happened to this poor, poor kid?!" Rain said walking up to a blood pool with a body in the center, with twigs, and grass, and leaves over it.
"It's... a nest!" I said.
"No way! It can't be him!"
"It can't be who?" I asked.
Suddenly, we heard a growling sound, followed by what sounded like a chirp.
"Troodons!" Rain said.
"You think I don't already know that?!" I said glaring at Rain.
I looked over to where Ripper was and he was not there.
"Even Ripper's scared of these things!"
The Troodons kept making their noises as we talked.
"Why would he?! He has no idea what they are!"
"Maybe he ran into some when we were running from the stampede earlier. Maybe that's what the mark on his face was and how he got that gash in his eye!" I realized.
A Troodon suddenly brushed up against me, making me jump back into Rain, causing him to fall.
"Maisie!" Rain said, startled.
I stood up and saw a pair of white eyes on top of him.
"RAIN! DON'T... MOVE!" I said picking up a big, sharp stick.
"W-.... what?.... why?! Maisie!" Rain panicked.
The Troodon made it's growl before pouncing at me, making me drop the stick to grab it's neck and squeeze.
"RAIN! GRAB THE STICK!" I pleaded.
Rain stood up and grabbed the stick before smacking the Troodon off of me, and stabbing it in the underbelly in a place that would leave the Troodon alive.
I got up to try to mercy-kill the Troodon before being stopped by Rain.
"Don't kill it. Make it pay for what it did to Harrison!" He said.
"So that's what that kid's name was?" I asked.
"Yep. He and I were friends when I went to GES...."
"Rain, I'm cold." I said.
Rain laughed.
"I can see why! You're not wearing a shirt! It's only a sports bra!" Rain said taking his black sweater off, giving it to me, putting his arm around my shoulder, and kissing my cheek.
I looked behind me and saw the Troodons staring straight at us.

"RUN!" I yelled, looking straight, again, without noticing Rain wasn't next to me anymore.
I turned back around and Ripper roared in my face before trying to swipe me. I dodged the attack and rolled under him.
A Troodon suddenly jumped on Rippers arm and bit it. More Troodons began to tackle and bite him.
"He's gotta die from that!" Rain said running up to me from behind, along with Lexi, Alli, Carter, Kat, Owen, and Claire.
Ripper grabbed the Troodon on his arm and threw it on the ground. He rolled over and crushed the other Troodons with his heavy weight.
The last, or so, Troodon tried to jump on Rippers exposed underbelly, but he grabbed it in mid air and bit it's head clean off. Ripper swallowed the head and threw the twitching body on the ground.
Kara suddenly came out of nowhere and pounced on Rippers back, biting his neck. Ripper retaliated and grabbed Kara's neck with his hand, and threw her on the ground. He was about to shove his sickle claw into her eye before suddenly, Rexy and Lucy, the Indominus, grabbed a half of Ripper and chomped down, splitting him in two.
Lucy only had a grip on the neck, not the head, so it fell and landed right in front of me when she bit down. Lucy and Rexy swallowed their halves and walked off into the sunrise together.
