Rainbow woke up after a good nights sleep and stretched. "Hey Pinkie, you-" Rainbow stopped. She forgot Pinkie left. She felt like it was her fault she left in a way. Maybe she left because of that kiss. Rainbow decided she should call her. She picked up her phone and called Pinkie.
"Dashie?" Pinkie answered a few seconds later.
"Hey Pinks. Um, how are you doing?" Rainbow asked, walking to the kitchen. Pinkie hesitated and bit her lip. "Pinks? You alright?" Rainbow asked, slight worry in her voice. Pinkie gulped. "I'm fine Dashie! Perfectly fine!" Pinkie lied. "Hey Dash, can I ask you something..?" Pinkie said. Rainbow smiled. "Sure Pinks. What is it?"
"When we, kissed.. Did.. Did you feel anything?" Pinkie said nervously. Rainbow frowned. Why did she ask that? "No.. Did you..?" Rainbow asked quietly. Pinkie couldn't help but feel sad. She didn't know why. She didn't like Rainbow that way anyway. Right? "N-No. Sorry for the stupid question! Um. I gotta go Dash." Pinkie said quickly before hanging up. She heard her dad start to wake up. Pinkie quickly ran down to the kitchen to make him breakfast.
Her dad walked downstairs and into the kitchen to see Pinkie cooking. "Hurry up." He muttered, sitting down at the table. "Y-Yes Dad!" Pinkie stuttered.
"Don't call me that." He hissed. Pinkie flinched at his harsh tone. "Sorry, Sir.." She mumbled. "Thank you dear." He whispered. Pinkie nodded and sighed. When she finished cooking she brought a plate of food over to her dad. Before she walked away she felt her dad kiss her cheek. She could smell the alcohol. "I love you Pinkamena." He said. Pinkie smiled slightly. "L-Love you too." She whispered. It was a lie, she wouldn't dare say she hated him to his face.
Her father sighed. "You're lying.. I know I'm a shitty father.. Right?" He mumbled. Pinkie didn't know what to say. "Um.." She was speechless. "Do you want to know why I act the way I do?" He asked calmly. Pinkie bit her lip and nodded slowly.
"Because it's your fault that MY WIFE IS DEAD!" He screamed, standing up. Pinkie stared at him with pure terror. "It's all because of you!" He said angrily, shoving Pinkie back against the wall. She grunted in pain. He approached her, lifting her up by her neck. Pinkie's legs flailing around helplessly. Her father began to tighten his grip around her throat, choking her.
Pinkie scratched at his hands with her nails in a desperate attempt to make him stop, but it only made him tighten his grip even more. "S-Stop. Please." She choked out, tears running down her cheeks.
To her surprise he let go of her neck a few seconds later and she fell to the floor, holding her neck and gasping for air. Immediately she got out of the kitchen and grabbed her keys and a scarf. She went to the front door quickly. "YOU BETTER RUN YOU BITCH." He screamed at her. Pinkie ran to her car and turned it on, speeding off. She knew exactly where she was going, Rainbow's house.
When Pinkie arrived she quickly wrapped the scarf around her neck to cover up any marks her father left before exiting the car and knocking on Dash's front door. A few seconds later the door opened revealing a surprised Rainbow Dash. "Pinkie..?" She said, raising an eyebrow. Immediately Pinkie rushed over to her and hugged her tightly. Rainbow stumbled back before hugging her back. "H-Hey! Something the matter Pinks?" She asked, worry in her voice. Pinkie sniffled and smiled. "N-Nothing's wrong Dashie. Nothing at all." She whispered, laying her head on Rainbow's chest.
Suddenly a voice from the living room spoke up. "Um, am I interrupting something?" He asked. Pinkie looked over to see Soarin Skies, Rainbow's crush. Pinkie slowly stopped hugging Rainbow and looked down. "I-I didn't realize you had someone over." Pinkie whispered. Rainbow smiled. "It's alright. You can come in." Rainbow said, opening the door for Pinkie. Pinkie slowly walked inside and sat down.
"What's with the scarf?" Soarin asked, pointing at the scarf. "It's none of your business.." Pinkie mumbled, looking away from him. Soarin smirked. "Does someone have a hicky?" He teased, seeing a mark on Pinkie's neck. Pinkie quickly covered it. "S-Shut up." She whispered. Rainbow looked over and looked away right before Pinkie noticed.
"Sheesh. Fine." Soarin said, rolling his eyes. He stood up and stretched. "Well, I gotta head home anyway. See you later Dash." He said hugging Rainbow. Rainbow blushed slightly and hugged him back. "See you." She said happily.
Soarin left and Rainbow frowned. "What was that for Pinks? Telling Soarin to shut up?" She asked, slight anger in her voice. Rainbow had always had a crush on Soarin. A big crush. Pinkie bit her lip. "I'm sorry Dashie.." She whispered. Rainbow sighed and sat down next to her. "It's fine." She mumbled.
Pinkie nodded and slowly rested her head on Rainbow's lap. Rainbow looked down at her and their eyes met. Pinkie couldn't help but admire Dash's eyes. They were. Beautiful. "Your eyes are so pretty.." Pinkie mumbled, slowly beginning to lean forward towards Rainbow's face. "Um, Pinks?" Rainbow asked, blushing. Pinkie snapped out of it and blushed. "Sorry!" Pinkie said, moving her head away from Rainbow's. She stood up and bit her lip. "I'll be right back!" She quickly before running to the bathroom.
Pinkie ran into the bathroom. She just tried to kiss Dash. "What's wrong with me?!" She said to herself. Pinkie couldn't ignore her feeling anymore. She now knew she was falling for her best friend..
