Chapter 7

"Finn, we need to talk," Wyatt said, standing in the middle of the living room.

Finn stood up and walked over to him.

"Okay I'm sorry Wyatt. I don't know how else to say it."

"You don't know how else to say it?"

"Well how else am I supposed to?"

"How about not kissing the girl who I have been developing feelings for?"

Everyone turned and looked at Sadie who was turning pink.

"I have had feelings for her for longer than you have. Just because you now start to develop feelings for her, doesn't mean that my feelings for her don't matter. I have liked her for a couple months now!"

"Oh, so just because you're Finn fucking Wolfhard means that you get dibs on every girl?! Is that what you're trying to tell me here?!"

"Of course that's not what I'm trying to say! I'm trying to say that I have dibs on Sadie because I've liked her longer!"

"Are you guys seriously just going to go back and forth calling dibs on me? I am my own person you know, I can make my own decisions," Sadie interrupted.

"Sadie, don't get in the middle of this," Finn said.

"No, I am going to get in the middle of this! You guys can't just toss me around calling dibs on me! I made my own choice when I chose to kiss Finn back in that closet, but now I'm starting to regret it. I'm regretting liking both of you," Sadie said, walking off to her bedroom.

"Wow Finn. Look what you did."

"How the hell is all of this my fault?"

"I think both of you are at fault for this," Gaten said.

"Don't even," Wyatt said, looking Gaten straight in the eyes.

"See? You can't even answer how all of this is my fault," Finn said.

"Oh, you want to know how all of this is your fault?"

"Please do enlighten me."

"Because you knew that I was starting to get a crush on Sadie. Everyone here could see it! The way I acted around her, and the way I joked with her made it obvious. But you just had to swoop in and kiss her when you knew how I felt! And don't you dare try to deny it, because you did know, and that just makes you a dick." Wyatt shoved Finn and then walked back up to his bedroom. The rest of them sat there in silence for a minute to process what happened.

Sophia and Millie looked at each other, then ran upstairs to their bedroom to find Sadie on her bed with tears rolling down her cheeks.

"Sadie! No, no, don't cry!" Millie exclaimed.

"How am I not supposed to cry? I'm the one who started this mess!"

"It's not your fault!" Millie said, trying to calm her down.

"Yes it is! It is my fault. If I wouldn't have kissed Finn back then Wyatt wouldn't have gotten mad at him. That was a dumb thing I did."

"All three of you can be to blame for this, you can't put this all on yourself," Sophia said.

"I'm such an idiot. I don't even like Finn as much as I like Wyatt. I don't know what I was thinking," Sadie said, calming down a bit.

"Is there any way that you could maybe fix this?" Sophia asked.

"I have no idea. They're probably both mad at me now. I just want to sleep and forget about all this until morning."

"Sadie, you can't just ignore this," Millie said.

"Oh yeah? Watch me," Sadie said. She proceeded to turn off the room light and get under her covers and sleep.

"Tomorrow is going to be an interesting day," Sophia whispered to Millie, who nodded back in agreement.
