It was about 7 at night. All of the gang was getting along now, thanks Finn apologizing. They had spent most of the day watching TV, eating, and they were ending the night swimming.

Millie pulled Jack out of the pool.

"I need to ask you something," Millie said.

"Okay, shoot," Jack said.

"Did I turn you gay?"

"What?! No, no, you didn't. Why would you think that?"

"I just thought since you were flirting with me and stuff, that you realized I wasn't attractive and decided you liked boys now."

"Millie, it doesn't work that way," Jack said, laughing. "I've known I was gay since like September 2017."

"Oh. Okay then."

"You're very pretty, girls just aren't my type."

"That just lifted a weight off my shoulders, thank you for being honest."

"Of course."

Millie and Jack hopped back into the pool.

They swam for another hour or so until everyone started to want to get out. It was getting fairly dark out too, and no one wanted to be swimming late at night.

A loud bang hit the 8 foot fence and made it wobble back and forth.

Scared and nervous glances were exchanged.

"What the hell was that?" Wyatt whispered.

"I don't fucking know!" Jack whisper-yelled.

"We should probably get inside now," Sophia said, visibly shaking.

Everyone gathered everything they had and went inside.

"That was scary as shit. It's like my heart stopped," Caleb said.

"I hope it was just an animal hitting the fence or something," Millie said.

They heard another loud bang against the fence.

Everyone was staring at each other, silent.

"Shut off all the lights and curtains. We should probably go upstairs and hide. That can't be just an animal," Caleb said.

Moving quickly, the gang proceeded to do as Caleb said. This definitely could not be just an animal.

About 3 minutes later, everyone was sitting in their bedrooms.

Millie laid on her bed, trying to calm herself down with deep breaths.

"Mills, you okay?" Sadie asked.

"Not really. What if they're coming to kidnap us or something?"

"That won't happen," Sophia said.

"Promise?"

"Promise," Sophia said.

"Are we just going to ignore the fact that you just referenced Stranger Things?" Sadie said.

That got a chuckle out of the three girls, even in this tense situation.

Since the girls' room faced the backyard, Millie got up and lifted one blind.

"What the hell are you doing?" Sophia asked.

"Another Stranger Things reference. I even said that line," Sadie said.

"Ha ha ha," Sophia sarcastically said.

"Uhm, guys.."

"What?" Sophia and Sadie said at the same time.

Millie pointed her shaking hand at the window. They saw a group of what looked to be six men, seeming to be in their twenties, standing right outside the fence.
