⚔2⚔ And Cue The Immigrant Song

"Ella!"

"Ella!"

"Ella Martinez!" Tony pounded on my door as I turned up Drake on my IPod.

Not a minute later the door swung open revealing an annoyed Tony Stark.

"Jarvis, you weren't allowed to let him in," I shook my fist at the ceiling as if he could see me.

"Ella, I just came to let you know of your punishments,"

I took out my earbuds and faced him blankly.

Taking this as a cue to continue," Alright, Fury put you on a ban from going on missions for a while and for your own safety you are not to leave Avengers Tower of course." He reminded as this information was not new to me.

"And we agreed that you will have to train an extra hour everyday along with increased meditation,"

I sighed. I expected the increase of training and of course I was never allowed to leave the Tower before anyways without one of the Avengers.

"I know this is hard for you and you want to come with us but we can't risk you," Tony sat next to me careful to avoid accidental physical contact so he won't trigger a panic attack.

"Tony you know how bad I want to make them pay for what they did to me. I can't exactly avenge myself if I'm on the baby missions," He rubbed circles on my hand and I continued," Can't I come with?"

"Absolutely not, Ella if you so much as step foot out of this building I will know about it," he looked into my eyes showing how serious he was," now come on we leave early in the morning so it's best we say our goodbyes at dinner."

Dinner was bittersweet, everyone attended except Thor and of course they were all playing and joking around. Even Natasha poke fun at Steve now and then. Peter kept the mood joyous with his jokes but I still couldn't get it off my mind that tomorrow they were going to investigate a lead on my captors without me. Nobody seemed to notice my sour mood which I was thankful for and soon dinner was finished and we were all clearing up. I bid Natasha, Bruce, Peter, Wanda and Clint goodbye and wished them luck on their mission as I stayed behind to help Tony and Steve wash the dishes.
Silently I grabbed a wet plate from Steve and towel them off before packing them away.

"I know you aren't happy about tomorrow," Steve spoke up breaking the silence between us.

I open my mouth to assure him I'm over it but he cut me off," don't pretend you're fine, you have been silent for all of dinner and that in itself is a strange occurrence."

I avoided his gaze embarrassed someone paid attention to me.

"And as much as I don't condone this, I promise you will have the chance to get your revenge. I will make sure of it,"

"Thank you, Steve," I grinned at him and placed my hand on top of his.

"Those sick bastards are going to get what's coming to them as soon as we can confirm the lead we got is accurate," Tony swore as he walked into the kitchen with a tray of dishes in his arms.

"You guys just be safe tomorrow and don't underestimate them," I warned worriedly.

"Don't worry Ella, Careful is my middle name," Tony smirked.

"We'll be back the day after tomorrow if all goes well," Steve assured.

I smiled sadly at them," thank you all so much for all of this."

" You deserve it," Steve smiled back sadly.

"Good night and see you soon," I nodded to them and walked out.

As usual I had a restless night but it was much more extreme last night and left me feeling drained this morning.

Deciding to spend my morning training was the best way to shake off last night's dreams. Changing into a sports bra and shorts I headed down to the training room noticing how quiet and dark the Tower got when they leave for missions. Normally Pepper would come to spend time with me during these times and baby-sit but after I turned 16, they decided I was old enough to manage myself in one of the most safest places on earth without a sitter. As much as I love Pepper as she's the closest thing to a mom for me, she gets over-protective over the littlest of things and this time I don't think I could've handled it with my mind on a frenzy. I punched the punching bag feeling the sweat drip off of me as I focused my strength into pummeling the bag.

"Miss Martinez, Mr Stark would like to remind you that you are to spend an extra hour in here and I am to report if you quit early," the AI spoke out.

"Thanks Jarvis," I panted.

By the time I was finished training it was 2 o'clock and it was only then I realised that I didn't eat any breakfast. After showering and eating my body felt as if it was the punching bag. I lounged on the couch watching SpongeBob as it always makes me laugh and I chewed on a chocolate bar trying to relieve my stress. Soon after I fell asleep in a dreamless haze.

I was awoken by the feeling of being watched and I open my eyes, bleary from sleep, I saw a man looking down on me with a sadistic grin and wearing a familiar all black uniform. I couldn't see his features because it was too dark but I could feel him smiling at me.

" 4962. We've finally got you," he spoke in a deep rumbly voice.

I screamed jumping over the couch. He stalked towards me and I saw all of my training fall out of my head. I covered my head in my hands praying this all was a nightmare. His leather boots appeared in front of me and I burst out crying. He grabbed me and pulled me up, pressing me against the wall. I felt the world close in on me and my screams became hysterical. Loud rumbling was heard and bright flashes were seen but I couldn't focus on it, I felt as if I couldn't breathe. I was dropped back on the ground where I crumbled into a crying mess. Boots appeared again in the corner of my vision. 

" Lady Ella, it is I, Thor," a familiar accented voice spoke but I couldn't focus on it I was drowning.

"Lady Ella, you must breathe. He is gone now," It was like I was hearing him but I couldn't comprehend the words.

A flash of lighting illuminated his face and I saw those familiar kind blue eyes and I paused forcing myself to breathe again.

"Thor?" I whispered before I fell back into dark nothingness.
