Sam's POV

I woke up today thinking, what am I doing with my life? Have you ever noticed that you seem either disappointed with your life or the people around you, or even you can't stand your actions and daily routine. I decided to make a list of things I am going to do to be happier and change my life. I ended up not liking the idea so I ripped up the paper and went to the the closest coffee shop. I got out my phone and called my mom.

Honey, what is it?

I want to come back to Miami.

Why? What happened?

Nothing, I just. *pause* I just need to find myself and have your support. But, I don't want Dad or Parker to know this.

Okay honey, that's fine. I will just tell your father you were home sick. We will stay at our resort house on the beach.

Thank you.

I wil send the private jet for you. Good bye honey.

Bye Mom, love you.

Love you too.

I ran back to the apartment and packed all of my clothes, bedspread and everything. My room looked like nobody ever stayed in there. I called Ana and told her I would send the jet if she ever wanted to see me and left a note to Parker just saying I was visiting Mom.

I ran out of the apartment and cought a cab to the airport. Mr. Caine greated me at boarding like he usually does. I handed him my bags and took a seat. I instantly fell asleep.

--------------------

The resort house was as beautiful as always. My room had a brand new wall color, furniture, bed and bed spread, but other than that it was empty. I put my clothes in the closet and unpacked my nick-nacks, wall art, corkboard. I took my old chalkboard and hung it on the wall. I asked my mom if we had clothes pins and paper plates. So I could glue the ends of the clothes pins to the outer ring of the paper plate. I can push the end of the clothes pin and then put pictures and other things in the pin.

-------

I ended up reading a book in my favorite hammock chair that I made myself. I was reading 'Just Listen' by Sarah Dessen. Sarah Dessen is my all time favorite writer. Just as I was about to fall asleep in my chair I heard a knock on the door.

"Come in."

'So, honey how was Illinois." Mom always does this.

"Great."

"Then, why did you need to come home?"by now she was sitting on my bed.

"I guess I just needed a break and to get away, and find myself and who I am and who I want become."

"Well, I guess there is no reason interrogating you."

"Yeah, I guess so." Mom left then came back with a glass of milk and homemade chocolate chip cookies.

"Eat up, and good night."

"Night."

----------

I woke up in my chair and the book opened on the floor. I looked at my phone and had six missed calls and four new voicemails all from Parker. I called him.

What the fuck were you thinking?

What?

Leaving me and in the middle of school?
