55 - GOOD IN BRAIDS Adele's POV
I look up from my book when I hear the door open. I see Maren come inside and I drop the book on the bed. She's wearing a white lace, zip up gown with a black jacket that I hadn't seen before.
"Hey bae" she says closing the door.
"Hi Maren" I say standing up from the bed. She walks up to me, a big smile on her face.
"Notice anything different?" She asks and I look at her properly, suddenly realising it
"Oh my God... you finally got your braids done" I say a big smile on my face as I hold a braid in my hand
"Yes b" she says sitting down on my bed just as I do so too.
"I swear you look so good in this braids. They really just bring out your beauty" I tell her honestly. The braids looked so good on her
"Thanks babe" she says a big smile on her face.
"How long did it take?" I ask looking at how full and long the braids were
"Bae, it took 5 freaking long hours for me to get this done and then I had to get it pressed with warm water to like get some relief from the pain from the braids" she says
"Wow. It looks good on you though "
"I know " she says and I laugh
"Wait, I need to take a picture " I say and pick up my phone quickly and open my camera app
"Now? " she asks
"Of course. Stand by Makena's wall, it will make the picture better" I tell her and she nods, standing up and standing in front of the wall.
"Okay, you ready? " I ask and she nods, smiling
I take several pictures of her and then sit back on my bed, going into my gallery to look at the pictures.
"I want to see" she says plopping down on my bed and looking into my phone.

"These are so pretty " she says and I smile, nodding in agreement.
"Right? I love this lipstick on you, it looks so pretty" I tell her and her smile widens
"Thanks bae" she says "Can you send me the pictures? " she asks looking up from the phone and at me
"Sure. I'll send it through facenet" I tell her and she nods
"Thanks"
"No problem " I say dropping my phone on my bed and laying down.
"So how's your preparation for the party tomorrow?" she asks and I sigh
"Its okay, I guess. Makena is so pumped for the party, I wish I had a little bit of her excitement " I say and she laughs
"I get you. But you shouldn't be like this at the party tomorrow. Have some fun, eat, have a drink and whatnot" she says and I nod smiling
"I'll try" I tell her and she smiles at me
"Cool. It'll be great fun tomorrow" she says laying down next to me
"I hope so" *$*$*$*$*$*$*$*$*$*$* This took me about an hour and a half to write cause I kept going on the internet to look up stuff. But I'm finally done.

Fun fact: this chapter was never supposed to exist. It was just something I decided to add while I was writing the party scene and that was supposed to be chapter 55 but since I added this one, it moved to chapter 56.
