"How was the movie? " Hakeem asks twirling his spaghetti onto the fork
"It was crazy" Makena says a smile on her face, probably from thinking about the movie
"I didn't understand it" Devon says with a shrug
"I told you before that you need brains to understand the movie" Makena says and Devon glares at her, not saying anything
"It's okay, don't fight at the table" Stephanie says laughing
"I didn't see the movie " Reign says, a pout on her lips
"Don't worry, daddy is going to take you to see Lion King next week okay? " Stephanie tells her and she shakes her head
"No no" she says waving her tiny hand at her "I wanna see something else. I don't like scar, he's mean. I don't wanna see him" she says and Stephanie nods, letting out a small laugh
"Alright. Eat up and you'll tell me what you wanna watch after" she tells her and Reign nods using her fork to put her spaghetti into her mouth
"Adele" I hear and turn to where the voice was coming from and see Jordan
"Can you pass the jug? " he asks and I look back down at my spaghetti before looking at Maren
"Maren, why don't you help Jordan with the jug" I say and she looks at me
"Um.. Sure" she says and picks up the jug, passing it to Jordan
I look back at my food and continue eating.
"Adele? " Devon calls and I look at him
"Sorry, can you help me with a tissue? " he asks referring to the box of tissues that sat on the table in front of me.
"Sure" I say, taking out a tissue and handing it over to him
"Thanks" he says and I nod, a smile on my face
I pick up my fork from my plate and continue eating. "Can I have a tissue too? " I hear Jordan ask, making me drop my fork onto the plate
"Maren, would you like to switch seats with me please? People are being quite demanding" I say and she is about to say something
"You know what? Never mind. I think I'm done eating " I say standing up from the chair and picking up the box of tissues and dropping it on the table, in front of Jordan .
"There" I say before turning to Stephanie
"Thanks for the food Stephanie " I say and she nods slowly
"You too, Hakeem " I say before leaving the dining and going upstairs into the room.
I shut the door behind me and walk over to the bed before laying down on it. I let out a sigh before adjusting on the bed and laying on my side.
Why are you so upset? I ask myself, sitting up on the bed.
I stand up from the bed, taking off the shirt and jeans shorts I had on and dropping them on the sleeper sofa that sat at the end of the bed, resting against the wall.
I open my bag and take out my pink sleep wear.

Before throwing it on and going back to the bed and laying down. I face the wall, letting my eyes close and my mind wander.
*$*$*$*$*$*$*$* I shift and feel someone behind me. I turn, opening my eyes and meeting darkness.
I feel around the bed for my phone, till I touch it. I pick it up and turn on the torch, letting the light illuminate the room and finally see that it's Makena that was laying beside me. She was already asleep.
I let out a yawn and see that's it 12 in the midnight and sit up on the bed.
"So thirsty " I murmur to myself as I shift down, getting off the bed. I put on my slippers and head for the door, opening it.
The passage light was also not on, so I just use my phone's torch to go down carefully and head for the kitchen.
I turn on the light and in a second, the darkness that engulfed the room is replaced by light. I head for the fridge and open it, taking out a bottle of water.
I close it and walk to the island, leaning against it and opening the bottle. I put the bottle to my mouth, downing the water hurriedly and setting the bottle down when it's almost finished.
"You should turn off your torch" I hear and I almost pass out from shock. I look up and see Jordan in a grey vest and black shorts, his hair disheveled from sleeping.
I don't say anything and just turn off my torch. He walks over to the island and looks at me.
"Can you pass me a bottle of water? " he asks and I don't say anything or move from where I stood. I just let myself eyes roam over my phone.
"Is something wrong? Are you upset? " he asks and I look up at him
"Something wrong? What? Does it look like something is wrong? Do I look upset? Do I sound upset? " I ask, my tone cold.
"Yes, yes to all of those questions " he says and I roll my eyes
"Well nothing is wrong and I'm not upset. I'm sure you can get a bottle of water yourself " I say before looking back down at my phone
"Why are you acting so cold? "
"Cold? Look, just leave me alone okay? Get your water and leave or better still, I leave" I say and grab the bottle of water I dropped on the table and head for the door
I am about to leave the kitchen when I'm suddenly dragged back, forcing me to turn around and my lips to instantly meet his. *$*$*$*$*$*$*$ Well... Well... Well... Vote, share and comment ObviouslyQueen
