*Rebecca's POV*

I woke already twenty minutes late to work and it's only my second day. I ran out of bed and quickly threw on my black skinny ripped jeans and my black tank top, with a black hoodie on top. I brush my hair, teeth, put on deodorant, lotion and slipped on my socks and sneakers. I grabbed my phone and bag and ran downstairs. No one was there. I was about to call my aunt but she walked through the front door. "You're late!" She some-what yelled and I nodded my head really fast. "I know I woke up late!" I said and she grabbed the car keys and opened the front door. "Let's go!"

I've never been in a car that was driving that fast, it took us three mintues to get there today. I quickly said goodbye and ran inside, I quickly walked to the back and placed my bag down, but I stuffed my phone in my back pocket, slipped my apron on. I pulled my hair back into a pony tail and walked back. I didn't see Allison anywhere so I think I'm in the clear.

I was handed some more straws and I walked one of the two little table things and placed some more straws into the place that the remaining straws were. I was looking down at my shoes as I was on my way to the second table and I was putting the straws in there but some fell on the floor. I scoffed to myself and bent down to pick them up and so did someone else, but I didn't know that someone was helping me until I saw their hands and shoes. "Thanks." I murmured and we both stood up. I looked at the person and I got mixed emotions, happiness and a little bit of anger because he was with... Mikey when he cheated on me. I haven't said or thought about that name in a long time, I tried not to actually.

"Rebecca?" He asked me and I couldn't help but smile. It's not his fault, I don't think it is. I hugged him and he hugged me back. "I missed you." I said. "I missed you too. What are you doing here?" He asked me as he smiled. "I'm staying with my aunt- my other aunt for this summer," I corrected myself. "And she got me this job."

"That's amazing! I would ask you why you didn't go with Jackie instead but... I know why.." He made things awkward. We both just looked away but I changed the subject, I haven't seen anyone from Jersey, besides my family, for ten months. "Why are you here?" I asked him. "I'm here for my cousin's graduation, I'm with my family." He answered and I said "oh".

"How long are you staying-" "What can I do so you can come back?" He cut me off. "Come back to?"

"Jersey." He said. "Make him go away." I rolled my eyes. "That's not a problem! He's not even on the east coast right now." He said and I gave him a confused look. "He's still in California."

"Oh..." I said and he shrugged. "We all miss you Becca." He said and I nodded. "I miss you guys too."

"Please come back. He's not even in the state right now, and everyone would really love to see you." He said and I shook my head. "No, I'm not going."

"Please, come on, do it for Abby and Sarah and Nicolette and Bianca and Angelica... do it for your best friend." He said and I looked at him. "And who would that be?" I asked. "Vinny."

With that one word, I actually did want to go to Jersey, he's my best friend and he's right, it would be amazing for me to see everyone, I mean... "What if he comes back and I see him or bump into him?" I asked him. "If you are worried about seeing him, then... we all will make sure you completely ignore him." He said and I rolled my eyes.

"Give me one minute, do not move from here." I said and he laughed. "I'm just going to get something to drink." He said and I nodded. I walked into the employees' room and pulled out my phone. This is defiantly going to be hard to explain to my mom. I dialed my mom's number and pressed the call button. After four rings she answered the phone.

"Hi sweety!" She said and I could see her smiling. "Hi mom, how are you?" I asked her as I bit the inside of my cheek. "I'm good... good, how about you?" She asked me. "Good, mom, I'm actually at work but... I think I want to go to Jersey for the rest of the summer..." I said.

"Why? Did something happen?" She asked me in a worried voice. "No, I just ran into someone, one of my friends actually, one of the ones from Jersey and he convinced me to go back to Jersey." I said.

"He?" She asked with some sarcasm. "Yes mom, he, he is actually one of my good friends from down there so it's okay." I said and I heard her sigh. "I mean... I guess you have my permission to go to Jersey but I don't want to hear it if you want to go back with Phyllis or New York, do you understand me?" She said and I'll take that as an "I can go".

"Yes! Thanks mom-" "But I want you to call me back to tell when you are leaving and how you are getting there okay?" She sounded serious. "Okay I will, I'll call you in a little or later on. Bye mom!" I said. "Bye sweety."

I shoved my phone back in my pocket and walked out. I saw him sitting down slipping on his Cotton Candy frappuccino. I laughed and walked to him. "Well, I called my mom and she said yes, I can go to Jersey but she wants to know when will I go and with who." I said and he smiled. "You can come back with us! We are going back in two days, June 30th, in the morning." He said. "Are you sure that will be okay with your parents, and do you think you guys will have space for my stuff?" I asked him and he nodded. "I'm pretty sure that my mom will say that it's okay and of course we'll have a place for your shit," He smirked. "But I'll text you when I see my mom and I'll let you know for sure." I nodded and smiled at him. "Hey! No need for cussing." I said, he rolled his eyes. "I'm really excited!" He said and I nodded. "Me too! But don't tell anyone anything yet, I want it to be a surprise." I said and he nodded his head understandingly.

We continued to talk and I pulled out my phone and went on instagram. I was strolling through my news feed and I saw that he posted a picture of him drinking his frap. I laughed, "Really Madison?" I asked him and showed him my phone. He shrugged, "What am I going to do with you Alamia?" I asked Madison and we both started laughing.
