"The Kindred was created by Judas Iscariot," began Courtney, still rubbing her neck.
"Judas killed himself after betraying Jesus," mumbled Peyton.
Kameron's eyebrows shot up, wondering just how Peyton knew that.
"He did die, at the hands of the other apostles. He came back, his compensation for his untimely death, by whatever passes for a god," said Courtney. "He came back as a daemon, a spirit, he found those of like minds, those who believed that there was more than simply heaven and hell. Wanting to prove that Jesus hadn't been a god, but had been a genetic anomaly. Someone who could manipulate things around him, a psi-talent for lack of better a word."
Kameron's brow knitted together. "Wait, you're telling me that Jesus was some sort of odd telekinetic?"
"Yes," said Courtney. "As time grew on, Judas found more and more followers, Kindred amongst men. They began to watch, collect data, observe the things in the world that wasn't normal, that was different. His right hand man, his cohort, was Jesus common law wife, Mary Magdalene, her need to find the truth was seeded in the fact that she had bore Jesus' children."
"Paranormal," said Kameron. "Jesus had kids."
"You are the only one of your kind," said Courtney. "We only want to protect you, we only want you to live, to fulfill your potential."
"You aren't here to hurt us?" asked Peyton.
"Us?" asked Courtney. "You, you were doing that to me, it wasn't Kameron."
"I can do a lot more," said Peyton threateningly.
"No," said Courtney softly able to move now. Her dark blue eyes were serious as she said, "I'm your ally. I am not going to hurt you, I was simply here to observe and recruit."
"Recruit?" asked Kameron now sitting on the cool grass of the forest.
"Yes," said Courtney.
"Oh boy," groaned Peyton.

Sarah heard the front door banging and instantly she was up, wondering what kind of trouble Kameron was up to now.
Kam had never been a pain in the ass as much as she had become in the last two weeks. It was insane.
"KAMERON!" yelled Sarah as she marched down the stairs. "I swear to you, I will ground you, I will stake you and ground you!"
Sarah rounded the corner and came face to face with Courtney, Kameron and Peyton.
"Oh crap," whispered Sarah.
"We have a lot to talk about," said Kameron. "Including the fact that stakes don't work."

"What do we do?" asked Clay. "She's my daughter, I can't just..."
Baltar heard nothing, he was deep on thought and then he whispered, "She can walk in the sun."
"What?" blared Clay, turning to see Baltar's pensive look.
"Claymore, what if - there are legends - that if a fully fledged vampire drinks the blood of a dhampir..."
"What is a dhampir?" asked Clay moving to his lover, tugging him closer. "What is a dhampir?"
"A half vampire, half human - a dhampir is your daughter, Claymore. My sweet avenging sword, your daughter might well be the way for us to finally be freed into the light."
