Aaron's  POV

My uncle barged inside my room drunk, he gave me an apologetic glance as if to say "sorry for disturbing you but I need your help" I couldn't blame him... he's been through a lot to take care of me. I was doing my math homework as I didn't want to fall back on any school work. I needed a scholarship to get out of this town, if I didn't, all I would become is what my uncle is. Dealing with the mafia and putting everything at risk. I didn't really have much to worry about. No friends or family, just my uncle. So, I followed him out of my room, after I carelessly took off my glasses and threw them over my book that lied on my bed. He had a bleeding nose, a cut on his lip and a black eye. I took the first aid kit from the kitchen drawer and sat next to him.

I cleaned up his injuries the best I could. I was used to this. He grunted gratefully and went to bed. My uncle lost his only daughter, my cousin, Alisha, to cancer when she was only 8 years old and his wife left him afterwards. He had completely lost hope in life and then I became his responsibility...I left the first aid box where I took it from and slowly retreated back to my room. I put back my glasses and got back to doing calculus, which was a piece of cake. I packed my homework in my school bag and placed it on my desk. I saw a silver object slip out of my jacket pocket. A chain with a blue Lily flower shined on my bed brightly amongst the dull black duvet. This was that girl's. I had to return it tomorrow. I drop it inside the front small pocket of my bag. I was exhausted. I kicked off my shoes and dropped on my bed and slipped into a deep sleep.

As usual, I woke up at 5:30am and got ready for my morning run. I put on my headsets, strapped my phone to my arm and quietly crept out, ensuring not to wake my uncle up... He took pain killers so he needed the sleep. The morning run helped me clear my head and start the day fresh plus it helped to get rid of all the frustration and pent up stress. I got back and hit the shower and dressed up for school. A black v-collar plain t-shirt and ripped dark blue jean and I threw my black leather jacket over me. My hair was still wet from the shower. I shook my head and my hair landed messily covering my eyes. I pushed it up and that did it. The messy hair look. I threw my bag over my shoulder and made sure my glasses weren't inside. Last thing I wanted was everyone to find a pair of glasses in my bag and think I'm not scary as they think I am. I liked it this way. Unapproachable. I put my contact lenses on and went down to the kitchen. My uncle was waiting for me with a bowl of Coco pops with milk. He offered my bowl to me and he patted me on the back before he washed his bowl and went upstairs. I gobbled the cereal as quick as I can and washed my bowl and left it in the rack. I pulled my bike keys from my pocket and shut the house door and locked the door. My uncle had his spare keys if he wanted to go out anywhere. I put on my helmet, sat on my bike and inserted the keys. I kicked the start and the bike roared to life. I raced the engine, surely waking up the neighbors. I raced to school regardless of my safety. I weaved through all the other cars which were trying to get to school too. My bike raced into the parking lot and as usual all heads turned in my direction. They all knew me and if it was a bike then it was mine. I was the only guy in this school who had the balls to ride one. I parked where I usually did, no one else dared to park their vehicle in that spot even if it was the only available space left. Well, because obviously I would destroy their car and them too. So it wasn't worth the risk. I turned off the engine and removed my helmet and shook my straight hair into place. As usual, I saw some girls ogle at me, some biting their lip but not my type. I walked into the hall towards my locker, the people were starting to shuffle away and the corridor was almost empty. I opened my locker and took out my books and put it into my bag. I had chemistry first. I shut my locker door at the same time someone else did. I looked where the sound cane from. A few feet away stood a girl, in heels that were so pink it burned my eyes and a floral pink and peach dress. A Barbie doll. Yuck. I hated girls like that. Her blue-green eyes were somewhat familiar. They held mine and we just stood there looking at each other. The quarterback's girlfriend came up next to her and nudged her to go to class. She immediately followed her friend. It was that girl. The girl whose necklace was with me. That blue lily necklace. No wonder her eyes looked familiar, they were the same color as that lily in that necklace. Her name came into my mind from last night. Lily. Obvious. Before I could call out to her, she had disappeared...
