It hurts

Amy's POV
"Where is he! He's late again!", I said tapping my foot angrily.

This is the 60th time that Sonic misses our date. It's usually because of Eggman attacking Möbius or because he hangs out with the guys.

I can understand that but what I don't understand is why he keeps lying to me. I've been asking him to spend some time with me and he keeps using the same excuses over again even though they don't happen. I can still hear them in my mind.

"Aww... geez I wish I can go but, I'm going to go Tails' house. 

I would love to but, a mission popped up."

"Sorry... maybe another time."

I'm starting to think that he doesn't care about me. I mean, why else do you think he makes these things up?

I even dressed myself with the outfit Rouge got for me during our shopping sprees. Doesn't that mean something to him?

Me trying to look good so that he can look my way for once? How long does a girl need to wait for a guy on a date?

I sighed a bit and decided to wait some more, until I finally saw him come in. He was hugging another girl that was flirting with him. He was being his cocky self and he kissed her forehead right in front of me. It was Sally Acorn, the leader of the freedom fighters and the princess of Möbius. She was wearing a blue dress that almost matched with his brown jacket.

She never liked me when I joined the freedom fighters because she thinks I'm too childish and keep swooning over her boyfriend. She even knew that I had a crush on him for so long that she just dated him for a week then broke up with him and went back out with him again just to get underneath my skin. Then, she tells me to back off of Sonic because she fell in love with him.

She knew that I loved him and she just went behind my back. Why?! What did I do to deserve this! I don't deserve this at all!

They were sitting 3 tables away from the booth that was staying in. I stayed quiet that they wouldn't hear me.

"I'm so glad that you took me out today Sonikku..." I gagged in my mouth, hearing the nickname that I always call him coming from her mouth.

"Me too, Sal. I'm just glad that I could make an excuse with Amy."

"You mean that hopeless romantic? She can't even take a hint that you don't like her."

"Yea.. she drives me insane by asking me the same thing everyday. I don't love her and I will never ever go out with her. The only one I love is you." 

They look in each others eyes and share a meaningful kiss. 

That drew the last straw and I ran outside in the rain with tears steaming down my face. I just can't take it anymore. How could I have been so blind? He hides from me because he thinks I'm annoying and he doesn't love me.

She told him everything! I thought I could trust her! Apparently, I can't because this Princess ruined my life with her lies!

I love him and I can't get near him because of her! I just wish this could all go away. This nightmare that is haunting me. My dear Sonniku with... that girl.

I run to the nearest park and started to cry some more. I don't care anymore and I don't want to come back home. Or else Rouge will say, " I told you so, Amy, but you never listened to me. He played with your feelings again. Let him go..."

If it was Sally, she would say so many things that it describes what the so called princess is. She hates her as much as I do. Ever since the betrayal, she would stay by my side and makes sure that I'm okay.

Well, I'm not! I should have listened to her. Then, I wouldn't have any pain in my heart. It hurts... It hurts so much knowing that... She's won... and I lost him forever...
