A new life, A new me (Slowly Returning)

Can it get any worse?!

Amy's POV
I run far away as I can from Sonic, he was calling my name. "Ames, wait!"

I stop to look back and see him running at full speed towards me. Then, I keep running until I spot a alley way.

I hid quickly behind it and looked by the edge to see if he was still following me. Luckily he wasn't because he didn't see where I went and mumbled something underneath his breath before running again calling my name.

A few minutes later, he comes back with a distraught face and shook his head.

"Where can you be, Ames?", he sighs walking down the path.

Once he was gone, I sigh in relief and decided to head to back to my new shortcut home (aka. The forest). But before I took a single step, my stomach started growling.

Just when I thought that I was free, this had to happen now.... Darn it! Now I'm hungry! Thanks a lot Sonic!!

I head into town and notice a small cafe in the distance. It had a green leaf and acorn logo on it.

I walk in and sit in at a table next to the window. "Welcome to Leafy Acorn, may I take your order.", a waitress asked coming towards me with a notepad and a pen.

"Can I have this one?", I pointed to a pink drink with a white swirl on the top.

"That would the Strawberry Acorn Frappuccino.", she said writing it down. "Do you want it?"

"Umm... I think I'll take something else.", I said looking back at the menu.

"Are you sure that you don't want it?", she asked.

"Nope.", I shook my head.

"Okay, but before you decide let me tell you a secret. This drink used to be 'The Rose Blush Frappuccino'.", she said.

"Really?"

"Yes, it was actually much better than this one. It was actually dedicated to one of the freedom fighters, 'Amy Rose'. However, the princess decided to change all the cafes to sell only acorn products to dedicate it to herself and not the freedom fighters."

"Sa-I mean... the princess made you change everything, including the menu?"

"Yes, she made all of the cafes to do this and all the stores as well. I honestly hate it because all of Möbius has to have Princess Sally merchandise and can't do anything about it. Even the king agreed to it in order to show that we appreciate all she has done for us."

"Darn Sally...", I muttered angrily.

"You know, I wouldn't be surprised if you feel that way, Miss Rose.", she smirked.

"H-huh? How did you know it was me?"

"Well, you and the princess have a huge rivalry over the hero of Möbius. That is also why you look like a horrible mess and why he keeps on leaving you on every date. I can also tell that you haven't enough time to sleep since the whole dumping situation happened."

"Yeah... I really thought that this time would be different, but I guess I was wrong.", I sighed sadly.

"Don't worry, I'm sure that he'll change his mind.", she assured.

"Really, how can you be sure? He's a jerk to me and told me that he'd never be with me."

"He came in here and asked all the employees if they seen a pink hedgehog come around here. When they said no, he went away with a stressed face and left a note for you. I read and it seems to me that he feels bad."
