For what seemed like the millionth time since he noticed the blending begin, Feliciano looked into the mirror in the boy's bathroom and at his right eye. It was a light, sort of faded shade of blue. Not as vibrant as the blue in the sky, but not like a painted office wall either.
Feliciano ran a list of all the people with a blue eye in his school. There was Francis, but he also had a green eye, not hazel like Feliciano's. There was also Matthias, but his other eye was a violet/blue color. There was a german guy that sat behind Feliciano. He had the same eye colors as Feliciano and was a possible soulmate. Feliciano was itching to know who his soulmate was.
But who really knew? Anyone with a blue eye and a hazel eye could be Feliciano's soulmate. His soulmate could be across the globe for all he knew.
A person's job in the world to to find his or her soulmate. Once they do that, their eyes blend together to create a new color or an already known color. Everyone had to do this. It's like a right of passage to adulthood. If the blended color is completely new, said couple would be brought temporary fame, a luxurious amount of money, and immortality*. Sometimes, the new color isn't even on the color wheel, so it's given a name by its creators. Other times, it's already known, but people are never sad about it. Finding your soulmate alone is enough, even without the added perks.
Feliciano sighed and looked at the clock that hung above the bathroom door. 8:55, class was nearly over, but Feliciano returned to class nonetheless.
The whole class stared at Feliciano as he walked i back to his seat. Avoiding eye contact as he walked, Feliciano returned to his seat just as the bell rang. As he gathered his books, the guy behind him tapped Feliciano's shoulder.
Feliciano looked up in surprise and spun around quickly, "Can I help you?"
The guy had golden hair that looked like it was slicked back with gel and the same color scheme in his eyes as Feliciano's. The man awkwardly held out a few pieces of paper with easy-to-read handwriting and a few drawings scribbled on it.
"I noticed you weren't in class for the majority of the time, so I took some notes for you."
Feliciano took the notes from the blond with a smile, "Grazie! I'll be sure to take note for myself tomorrow."
The german turned to go to his next class but Feliciano wanted to ask him one last thing.
"Can I ask what your name is?" Feliciano asked quickly.
"Ludwig."
"Well thank you for the notes Ludwig!" Feliciano smiled, "See you tomorrow!"
Feliciano spent the rest of the morning in one of the best moods he's had in a while. At lunch, he met up with his friend Kiku and his brother Lovino who he often ate lunch with.
"Did you see the new kid, Feli?" Kiku asked quietly from across the table.
"Yes," Feliciano replied, "Lovi told me about him. Lovi said his name was Anthony."
"His name is Antonio, dumbass," Lovino said between bites of his lunch.
"Antonio, sorry Lovi," Feliciano said.
Feliciano and Kiku were often the only ones that sat with Lovino at lunch. Feliciano sat there because Lovino was his brother, and Kiku joined because he didn't have many friends other than the two.
A comfortable silence fell over the trio until Feliciano looked up past where Lovino sat across from him. Feliciano noticed Ludwig sitting at a table by himself, so he motioned to the empty seat beside him. Ludwig looked confused for a moment before joining the trio at their table.
"Hello," he said awkwardly, "Is this seat taken?"
"Well, nobody sitting there," Lovino said in his usual sarcastic tone.
Feliciano flung a piece of pasta at his brother and gave Ludwig a smile, "Sorry about my brother. He's always a grump."
Lovino glared at his brother.
"Ah," Ludwig didn't really know what else there was to say about that. He sat down and resumed eating.
"Do you have a brother, Ludwig?" Feliciano asked, twirling his pasta.
"Ja, his name is Gilbert," Ludwig replied.
"I know him!" Feliciano perked up a bit, "He's the one with red and blue eyes, yes?"
"Ja," Ludwig took a bite of his sandwich.
"I bet his eyes will be purple when he meets his soulmate!"
"Ja," Ludwig nodded chewing.
Feliciano continued rambling about various topics between bites of pasta. He didn't mind carrying a conversation for everyone. It was a normal thing at his lunch table. Soon enough, the bell had rung and class was supposed to be starting in a few minutes. Feliciano said goodbye to his friends and left to his classes for the remainder of the day. The rest of the day, Feliciano did not see Ludwig, because they had only history together. Not that it mattered, Feliciano still had a few friends in his other classes, so he was content.
Not as content without his new friend, of course.

Before I continue this(or not idk), I want to publish everyone's point of views at least once. Also, updates, accents, lengths:
Updates: Not sure how frequent, but I'll try my best.
Accents: Probably none so it's easier to read.
Lengths: Anywhere from short to long, it depends on what happens
*not literally, like the "remembered for ever" kind of immortality not the godly kind
Thank you for reading!
