Happy 4th of July!! And I apologize for missing Canada Day and Hong Kong' return to China. Because I'll forget, I now recognize July 14th because of its symbolism to the French Revolution. One more thing, July must be a barrage of shitstorms for APH England since it's America's and Canada's birthday, Hong Kong's return, and France's revolution. Now, on with the story!

Leon suffocated Emil with his arms smirking and making cute comments about the tiny Icelander in his arms while Emil flushed red and grumbled about how annoying he was being and something about breathing being overrated. From a distance, Lukas watched and slowly felt his blood boil. How dare Leon try to kill Emil. Only Lukas was allowed to do that.

"No matter how much you grumble, you're still adorable," Leon smirked.

Emil's face darkened as he denied the truth. Suddenly, Lukas grabbed his brother's collar and pulled him to Berwald's car.

"C'mon Emil, our ride is here."

Leon waved goodbye and he climbed into his brother's car. Once his belov- ahem, bestie, was out of earshot, Emil broke free from his brother's grip.

"Get off me, Lukas," he grumbled.

Lukas released his brother and Emil stumbled to the seat of Berwald's car. Without missing a beat, Emil shut the door as his brother tried to climb in and smirked to his brother waving through the window. Lukas sighed and climbed into the passenger side door opposite to Emil's seat. Tino had already claimed the left window seat.

Berwald dropped his soulmate off first then drove Emil and Lukas back to their house. Emil climbed out. Lukas opened the door to follow Emil, but Berwald grabbed Lukas's arm before he could shut it.

"Can we talk?" he asked, "Just us in my car?"

Lukas paused to look through a kitchen window. It was Emil's turn to make dinner since their parents were still away, and when Emil made dinner, he took at the least an half hour. Lukas shrugged knowing he had the time and sat down closing the door.

"What did you want to talk about?"

"It has to do with Matthias." Berwald turned off the radio, "Do you two speak often?"

"In the library during lunch hour everyday."

"Any times other than that?"

"Not really, no. Why?"

"So you don't talk to him after school or anything?" Berwald completely dodged Lukas's question.

Lukas took note of his unanswered question, "We text and message each other online sometimes."

"Where do you guys talk?" Berwald leant forwards as he spoke.

Lukas noticed how close Berwald was to his face and instinctively leant back into the window, "The school library."

"Is he good?" Berwald leant further.

"Why are you so close to me?"

Berwald dodged the question, "Don't dodge the question."

"You dodged mine earlier."

"Just answer my question." Berwald sat back in his seat.

"Answer mine and I'll answer yours."

Berwald glared, "Just answer the question."

"No." Lukas's tone changed, "Answer my question first then I'll answer yours."

Berwald's glare was intense. It reminded Lukas of the arguments they caught themselves in far too often. Usually, Lukas gave in, and Berwald won the argument. As always, Berwald's glare unsettled Lukas. It always seemed to say "Shut up and agree with me." In the end, Lukas gave in as usual.
