Chapter Twelve

A/N: Over 2200 words

All you did was nod as the words fell off your tongue,

"Uh, as a best friend? Of course.,", you nervously chuckled. "Don't we always say I love you to each other? Or is that gone now that we're-- together?"

You looked over at Bucky who was still processing and you snapped him out of it by taking a hold of his hand. He looked up at you and shook his head, "no, you're absolutely right, we should still be able to say that and of course, i love you more, doll. but...", his words trailed off as he stood up and made his way to you. "now that we're official," he leaned down toward your ear and whispered in a low voice, "we can do a lot of other fun stuff too."

You felt his smirk as he began leaving a trail of kisses down your neck. You bit your lip hard as he grabbed tight onto your waist and pushed you into the nearest wall. He connected his lips with yours in a heated kiss and held your arms above your head. He used his free hand to glide it inside your shirt, which sent tingles up your spine as the cold metal touched your nerves. You jumped, wrapping your legs around his waist as he caught your legs with both hands. You dropped your arms and wrapped them around his neck, using a free hand to tangle up in his hair. Your kisses became sloppier as you both grew hungrier for the other. You tugged on his shirt and watched as he took it off until you two were able to connect your lips again.

Once you did, you heard your bedroom door open and you both froze until you heard a female voice speak. It was Iz. "Oh, shit. I was looking for the bathroom but continue, have your fun."

You looked over at the door as it shut and leaned your head back into the wall. You cursed under your breath and got off of him. He grabbed his shirt again and laughed as he watched you.

"What?"

"Nothing, you just looked like you were having some fun and now you look upset. But, that's fine baby girl, we will continue this fun later tonight. Trust me." he gave you a wink and sat down on the bed.

As he was about to put his shirt back on, you sat on his lap and threw his shirt on the other side of the bed. You leaned down to his right bicep and kissed the scar you left him then you leaned up to his lips and kissed him softly. You pulled away with a smile,

"Just so you know, I care about you and love every bit of you as I said before. So in case anything happens any time soon with that other guy, I will always be here to stitch you up. I just want you to know that and also, I'm sorry for any moves I have to make to tame that soldier. Like this scar." You smiled as your thumb gently rubbed over the mark.

He nodded and wrapped his arms around your waist as he leaned his head on your chest. You wrapped your arms around his neck and kissed his head. He lifted his head with a smile and gave you a small peck on your lips.

"Just do what you have to do to make sure I don't hurt you or anyone else."

"I will. But, James, that person isn't you."

"I know, but I still do it all."

You stayed quiet and kissed his cheek, before standing up.

"Come on, I have guests to be acquainted with." You spoke with a smile as you reached over for his hand.

He quickly put on his shirt, took your hand and followed you downstairs to the rest of the people. You both smiled to everyone and set up the table. Bucky left to the kitchen to finish cooking some things and as he finished, you set the food out and allowed everyone to pick their seat. There weren't two seats next to each other available so you sat next to Steve and Buck sat next to Iz. The meal began and small talk was dispersed through the table. It was all comfortable and you were able to learn more about Thor and Izabella. You knew they both looked like Gods and then you actually found out, they both were. They were from a planet named, 'Asgard.' Izabella was the goddess of love and war; whilst, Thor, her king and best friend, was the god of thunder. Izabella first came to Earth, or 'Midgard', 3000 years ago, as her greatest enemy was on this planet, in hiding. She ended his life and didn't return until about 9 years ago, to find Thor, who was banished from his planet by his father. She helped him and on the way, she met Tony Stark who is now her adoptive brother. Thor and Tony are in a team called the Avengers, which are known as the mightiest heroes in the world. Bucky, Steve and Iz are also in this team. They work for a secret government agency, called S.H.I.E.L.D. You took all of this information in and you loved it all. Knowing you were housing with actual heroes, made your inner geek come out and you were thrilled. You also felt very proud to know all of them personally as their day job is to save the world and you were glad they used their knowledge and power for the best task ever. It reminded you of when you were in the military as well.
