Sunshine enters my window,
and my day without you happily begins.
I laugh with friends, I read my books.
I think; this day will be pleasant,
even without you, so I thought.

Sunshine slowly starts to disappear,
and my day veers into night.
I laugh alone, wondering why.
Why, how, and what could I have done to save us.
What, why, and how could you leave us.

Moonlight replaces the sun, I succumb to the sadness.
My night desires achingly for your presense.
I laugh to myself, blues trickling down my cheek.
As my mind wanders around the crisp, vivid memories,
Of what I once thought was our love.
