I can tell he's feeling awkward, with not an inkling on how to react. So I press against him discreetly, in the darkness of the spare bedroom he's followed me in like a lost puppy, and grip his lapels tight. I tut once, before dragging him to me, and pushing him onto the bed.
"Never would have guessed..." I croon, my voice a breath louder than a whisper as his heart knocks unsteadily against my palm--my palm, this time, that has made it's way under his shirt and onto his bare skin.
"What's that?" He croaks out, even hoarser than the first time he inquired.
"You're just," I scoffed, being a tease as I traced invisible patterns on his skin, relishing as his muscles jumped and tensed. "--a silly little netherling, you know."
I've paused again, this time to press my lips against his neck, sucking gently before grazing my teeth against the tender skin and causing him to shiver.
"Alyssa..." he moans softly, and I decide that it is the most beautiful thing I've ever heard.
"You seem to have that rare penchant for--"
His lips are on mine, with need and a fierce desire, and his hand has found mind on his skin. He clasps it and I end up pinned to the bed under his weight, his scent all around me, with him on top of me, his blue hair tickling my face.
"Courage, my little netherling, you have," he half moans, half says these words into my ear. "But where, in all of Wonderland, have you lost your mercy."
The giggle that wiggles its way out of me is unexpected and far too innocent for the current situation. In a way, it might have ruined the moment. But Morpheus flashes me a full-out smile and kisses my cheek in such a way, I could never believe it.
