Savior

You are a teen girl living in magnolia. You work at a local restaurant since you don't have any magic powers, though it's not from a lack of trying. Magic just isn't in your genes. You've tried many times but nothing ever happens. This fact makes you mad because you've always wanted to join Fairy Tail. You would love to be apart of such a amazing guild but you feel if you join you would be a burden since you have no magic.

You always roam around town when you aren't working and you always see fairy tails strongest team strolling through either on their way to a job or from a job. You know their names like everyone else.

Natsu, Lucy, Gray and Erza and of course happy the blue cat. You admire Erza's skills, Lucy's beauty, Grays coolness and Natsu's happiness.

You have a crush on Natsu though you don't fully understand why. He is cute but he's also childish. He's skilled in magic and loves his friends dearly. Maybe you just want your share of that love?

Whatever the reason you feel your heart beat fast when you see him and you feel butterflies in your stomach. But....you know he loves Lucy. He's always with her and since you live near Lucy's apartment you always see him going in and out of her window. You secretly wished he would visit you like that but you know it will never happen.

You have just finished your shift at the restaurant and walk home. It's not to far but it's still a little ways. You start to hear footsteps behind you and brace yourself. You know how to fight but when your scared your mind goes blank. You walk a little faster and hear the footsteps speed up. Your heart is racing and your mind is spinning you start breathing fast trying to calm down but can't. You decide to turn and fight. Bad idea. 4 guys emerge from the shadows with weapons.

"Well, well, well look what we got here"

"She's ready to fight. Bad choice missy."

"You should know better than to fight back. It'll only make things worse."

You start shaking as they get closer. You try to turn and run but your shaking so much you loose your balance. You feel hands grab you and you shriek as loud as you can.

A hand quickly covers your mouth and you bite it and scream "HEEELLPP!!" Just before one of the guys punches you and you black out.

You wake up to the sound of fighting and the feeling of intense heat. You open your eyes to see a small inferno and seeing the guys being burned by flaming fists. They all fall to the floor in a burning heap and the one with fire on his hands turns to look at you.

His eyes are glowing with rage. You see him and scurry back away from him in fear and start crying. He sees you and immediately puts out the fire and rushes you. You cower in fear and cry.

"No, no, no it's ok. You don't have to be afraid of me. I saved you." The guy says as he kneels in front of you and reaches out to touch your shoulder.

You flinch and try to back away but your back is up against the wall. He pulls his hand away and sighs.

"I'm Natsu Dragneel from Fairy Tail. I promise I won't hurt you. Let me help you." Natsu says in a kind voice.

Once you hear his name you perk up and look up with tears still in your eyes. You can't see him in the dark.

"I-I know that name. B-but I can't see you. How do I know your really him?" You whimper through tears.

He lights a fire in his hand and holds it up so you can see his face. You recognize that face anywhere. You jump twords him and hug him tightly with your arms wrapped around his neck. This causes him to fall back into a sitting position.

"It really is you!" You squeal and he chuckles.

"I'm glad you recognize me. Come on I'll escort you home." He says while chuckling at your reaction.

"C-can I...hold on to you still?" You ask shyly while shaking. Your still scared after your ordeal.

"Sure. I'll carry you." He says while picking you up bridal style.

You tell him you live near Lucy's apartment so he knows where to go. You point out your apartment that has a window that's cracked open. He jumps to it and opens it and enters with you. You marvel at how easy this all was for him. Once inside he sets your feet on the floor. You give him one last squeeze and let go.

"Thank you so much for saving me. I owe you one." You say with a smile.

"Don't worry about it. I'm happy to help." He says with a smile and goes to leave.

"Wait!" You call to him. He turns and looks at you.

"C-could you stay? Please? Just until I fall asleep at least?" He looks at you and tilts his head.

"Uhh..sure. I guess." He says and comes back in.

"Thanks. In return you can get something to eat from my kitchen. You must be hungry." You tell him.

This makes him perk right up. You giggle as he rushes to the kitchen.

"Just don't eat EVERYTHING." You giggle as you head to the bathroom to change.

When you emerge you see him sitting at the table with a plate full of food. You giggle.

"I do owe you for saving me. Tell you what stop by anytime and I'll feed you. I do work late so you can stop by when I get off of work." You yell him as you lay in your bed. It's a studio apartment so there is no bedroom.

"Where do you work?" Natsu asks with a mouthful of food.

You yawn and reply "the restaurant near where you saved me.." you say as you drift off to sleep with a smile on your face.

Natsu's POV
Shes asleep already.

She looks cute while she sleeps.

Maybe I should check on her when she's walking home from now on. I wouldn't want a repeat of tonight to happen.

She's lucky I heard her screams. She screams pretty loud but if it wasn't for my sensitive ears I wouldn't of heard her.

She seems really nice. I think I'll get to know her.

Narrators POV
Natsu decides to stay the night and watch over you. He didn't want to sleep on the floor so he lays on your bed beside you on top of the covers. He smiles as he feels you nuzzle close to him. And he falls asleep.
