The day off

You slowly awaken to a bright sun rising high in the sky. You smile as you open your eyes and see natsu is still here and your still cuddled up with him. His hand has traveled from your shoulders down to your waist and your legs are wrapped up in his. You look at his face and see him sleeping peacefully with a little drool running out of his partially open mouth. You giggle and gently close his mouth.

You look out the window and see that the sun is ether high in the sky meaning it must be about mid day. Good thing today is your day off. You try to get up but natsu tightens his grip on you. He's so cute and protective but I need to use the bathroom! You try to pry his hand off but he's strong and just pulls you closer.

"Natsu. Please let me go." You say as you face him.

He scrunches his face and you giggle.

"Natsu. Let go." You whine.

He shakes his head no.

"Why not?" You ask.

He just shakes his head no again and squeezes you tight. You laugh.

"Natsu I'll be right back I just have to use the restroom." You plead and he opens one eye.

"Fine..." he sighs in defeat and releases his hold.

"Thank you!" You say and quickly kiss his cheek and rush to the bathroom.

Wait. Did I just kiss him on the cheek?! You internally freak out once you realize what you did. Oh my gosh. What if he's upset with me? What if he takes it the wrong way? I mean I do like him but admitting that is so hard to do! You decide to face the music and quickly use the restroom and wash and dry your hands. You open the door and see him sitting up in the bed with his hand on his cheek where you kissed him.

Oh no. You think to yourself and blush.

"Natsu. I'm sorry. I don't know what I was thinking. I-..." he holds up his hand for you to stop.

"It's ok. I'm just a little shocked and honestly" he starts chuckling "I'll take that over a Lucy kick first thing in the morning ANY day!" He says with a smile which makes you smile.

"I'm so glad your not mad at me." you sigh

"Why in the world would I be mad over a kiss on the cheek?" He asks sounding extremely confused.

"Well. I don't know. I guess because it's out of place? I mean we are just friends and not a couple so. I don't know. I never knew many friends that would just casually kiss each other." You ramble on as you head into the kitchen to figure out what to make.

"Yeah. I guess your right." Natsu sighs. "So I guess that means you won't do that again huh?" He asks sadly.

"Why do you sound so sad? Do you want me to keep doing it?" You ask now intrigued by his words and sad tone.

"I..uhh. No. Yes? Umm. I don't know." Natsu stammers and places his face in his hands. He's sitting up in the bed and his face is pink.

You giggle at his actions and walk over to him and place a hand on his shoulder. "Natsu. If your ok with it then so am I. I have no issue showing affection." You say with a smile. He looks up at you and smiles.

"Now come to the kitchen. Today is my day off so unless you have to go somewhere I have nothing to do but be with you. So come pick what you want to eat." You say with enthusiasm and pull him to the kitchen by his hand causing him to chuckle.

He picks a ham and you decide to make some bread rolls and vegetables to go with it.

"Just don't eat the whole ham to yourself ok?" You say with a laugh.
