Getting to know you

You wake up the next morning feeling unusually warm. You open your eyes and go to get up but you can feel something weighing you down. You look and see a arm across your waist. You panic slightly as you follow the arm to its owner. You see beside you Natsu! He's knocked out cold still, snoring slightly.

You smile at how cute he looks sleeping and you examine him and his features up close. You've never been this close to him and realize he really is attractive. Then you think to yourself that you must be dreaming.

I'm dreaming. Right? I told him he could leave after I fell asleep. Why would he stay? Why would he sleep beside me? I know! I'll pinch myself and I'll wake up! You pinch you arm hard and looked again and see him still there. You look out the window and see the sun is up and shining bright. You smile again at the sight before you.

I should wake him up. He needs to go to the guild I'm sure.

"Natsu.." you say softly. He doesn't move. I thought he has good hearing?

"Natsu!" You say louder but not yelling. He flinches and opens one eye. He sees you and sits up.

"Good morning?" He asks.

"Yes it is." You giggle. He looks at you like your crazy.

"Your not mad at me?" He asks in a surprised tone.

"No! Of course not. Why would I be?" You ask shocked.

"Because I stayed the night and slept in your bed without permission." He says with a "duh" tone

"Natsu. You didn't do anything wrong and I don't mind at all. You saved me. I have no reason not to trust you. In fact your always welcome here!" You say happily while gesturing to your whole apartment.

Natsu looks at you with wide eyes and just stares. Then he smiles.

"Why do you seem so surprised?" You ask him as you get out of bed.

"It's just. Lucy would of literally kicked me out by now if she woke up and I was next to her. Actually it's kinda nice to wake up and not be immediately kicked in the face." He says with a laugh.

"She would do that?! But your friends. Actually I thought you guys were more than friends..." you say sadly

"No we are just friends. But yeah she always does that." Natsu says as he sits on the bed.

"Well I hope you consider me a friend now. I consider you one." You say with a smile. "Want breakfast? I'm sure you have to head to the guild right?" You ask and natsu rushes to you in the kitchen.

"Yeah but we can eat first!" He chirps happily. "What you gonna make?" He asks excitedly

"Pancakes ok?"

"Yeah!"

"Hehe ok then. Sit. They will be ready soon" you say with a laugh.

He sits down like a kid waiting for cake. You can see his excitement written all over his face and you can't help but giggle the whole time your cooking. You finish the pancakes and place two plates on the table along with another plate full of pancakes. You grab two and he grabs the rest and practically swallows them all at once. Your eyes grow wide and then you laugh and shake your head. At least none went to waste. You think as you eat.

"So natsu. Since you ate in 10 seconds flat I guess that means you'll be going. I hope you come back soon. I'd love to get to know the man that saved me."

"Sure thing!" He says while patting his stomach. "In fact I was thinking of seeing you tonight. I can walk you home. What time do you get off work?" Natsu asks.
