Pain -

I was trying to figure out the right word, but pain didn't match it. My mind was doing circles in my head, and I was getting frustrated. The words in the definition only matched part of what I needed to describe.

Erotic -

adjective-

arousing or satisfying sexual desire

of, pertaining to, or treating of sexual love

subject to or marked by strong sexual desire

Another part defined. I was getting closer. I knew the word, it was at the tip of my tongue, but for some reason I couldn't spit it out. I had heard it several times in heath, psychology, and sociology class. Groaning, I continued to look.

Masochism -

Noun-

gratification gained from pain, deprivation, degradation, etc.,inflicted or imposed on oneself, either as a result of one's own actions or the actions of others, especially the tendency to seek this form of gratification.

the tendency to find pleasure in self-denial, submissiveness, etc.

Bingo.
