- Christina's POV -
"We'll be right back after this." Carson said towards the camera.
"Christina, someone is here to see you." One of the crew members whispered in my ear.
I sighed as I stood up from my chair and walked backstage where I was surprised to find Jordan there with Max.
"Mom!" Max exclaimed, running up to me.
"Hey, buddy." I said, hugging him.
"What are you guys doing here?" I asked.
"Max saw you on TV and wanted to come down and I figured since he's been good so far this week that I should give him a little reward."
"Oh, right. Well, I'll talk to you guys after the show." I said, before walking back towards stage.
After the show finished I walked backstage where Jordan and Max were waiting.
"You were so good, mommy!" Max beamed.
"Honey, I didn't do anything." I laughed.
"Yeah you did! You told everyone how to be good!"
"Well, thanks, baby." I laughed, tussling his hair.
"Max!" Adam said, running towards us.
"Adam!" Max replied.
"Hey little buddy." Adam said, giving Max a hug.
"Little?" Max asked, frowning.
"Oh, I'm sorry. Big buddy." Adam smiled.
"Ad, do you mind just occupying Max for a little while?" I asked.
"Not at all." He smiled. "C'mon, Max." He said, before taking Max's hand and walking away.
"So," I said, turning to Jordan, "Why are you here?"
"I already told you." He shrugged.
"Tell me the real reason." I said.
"I just thought that because Max wanted to come and see you that it would be the perfect excuse for me to come here and apologize." He sighed.
"Apologize for what?"
"For being kind of an asshole to you the other day. It wasn't ok for me to snap at you like I did. I'm sorry."
"It's fine. You had your reasons."
"So, we're ok?" He asked, hopefully.
"Of course we're ok." I smiled. "I need to ask you a favor though."
"Anything." He smiled.
"Could you drop me home?" I asked. "Matt is out of town and I don't really want to call my driver."
"Sure."
----
"Can we come inside with you?" Max asked, grinning.
"Of course you can." I smiled.
We walked in and Max immediately ran up to his room, most likely to play with his toys.
"Where's Matt?" Jordan asked, as we took a seat on the couch.
"He's in Vegas for the weekend." I said.
"Oh," He nodded. "That's cool."
"Yeah. I guess."
"How are things with you two?" He asked.
"Things are okay, but they're not great, you know?"
"Whenever you need me, Christina, I'll be here for you." He said, putting a hand on my knee.
"Thank you, Jordan. It's great to know you have someone when you feel like there's no one." I smiled.
"Can I have a hug now?" He asked. "I think I've earned one."
"Sure." I laughed, before Jordan opened his arms wide, inviting me in. I gave a small smile before moving closer to him and wrapping my arms around his torso and resting my head on his chest.
We stayed in the same positions for what felt like forever before Jordan moved his hand and lifted up my chin.
"Christina," He said softly, before taking a deep breath, "I love you."
"Jordan. . ."
"Don't," He said, pressing a finger to my lips, "I love you, Christina. I always have and I always will."
"What are you-"
I was cut off by Jordan softly pressing his lips on to mine. For a brief moment I enjoyed it and wanted it to last, but it only took me a second to realize what I was doing.
"No," I said as I pushed him away. "I can't do this, Jordan."
"I love you, Christina. And you love me. Just let go." He said as he kissed me once again, catching me by surprise, but this time I didn't push him away. It felt right in the moment and kissing him brought back memories of how good things used to be. How good my life used to be with Jordan.
The kiss soon got heated with Jordan tugging at my shirt and his hand going further up my leg.
"Max is upstairs." I said, out of breath.
"He probably crashed out on his bed." Jordan replied.
"Well, go check." I said.
Jordan sighed as he stood up, "Boner killer." He mumbled as he walked away, while I shook my head and laughed.
After about a minute Jordan ran downstairs and jumped back on the couch.
"He's asleep." He said, kissing my neck.
"Jord. . ." I said softly.
He looked up at me and sighed before moving back. He knew exactly what I was going to say.
"This is wrong. We both know it is." I said.
"Baby, please. Just let me prove to you how right it is."
"I can't do it to Matt. It's not fair to him."
"Christina, just one night. I can show you that we can make things how they used to be."
"You don't get it, Jordan. It's cheating. I can't do it."
"You're already cheating."
"I don't want to make it worse than it all ready is. Just leave, please."
"Christina, baby," He said, grabbing my hands. "He doesn't have to know. Tonight can just be about us. Don't think about him, don't think about anything except me and you. Us."
"There is no us," I said, getting up from the couch and walking to the window. "It's just me and Matt."
Jordan walked up behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist, "You know that's not true. It's us forever, honey."
I stayed silent as Jordan began kissing my neck. I was giving into him again and my mind couldn't decide whether it was right or wrong.
