You opened the door to the apartment once again, this time lugging bags of groceries inside.

'He just disappeared again.'

It was so weird, and it wasn't the first time it happened. First, he runs in front of a bus, carelessly. Then, when you try to talk to him he acted as if nobody notices him. In a way, you could relate to how he felt. People never notice you for who you are either...

You remembered the odd conversation you two had earlier.

"You can see me?..."

"Of course I can your not invisible."

"W-what?!"

You organized the small number of groceries around the kitchen.

'And after he said he wasn't a living person?!'

Your thoughts were interrupted when your phone rang. It was your mother. Dreading it, you picked up the phone.

"What's up?"

"'What's up?!' You haven't had the decency to call me all summer and now I get a phone call from the headmaster notifying me of your suspension!"

You rolled your eyes, "Last time I tried to call you told me not to call again, mother."

"That's beside the point! I heard you made the bus driver wreck as a way to rebel against the school?! What the hell is wrong with you?!"

"That's false, actually."

"You need to stop lying! If you think me not being home is an open invitation for this type of behavior, you are sorely mistaken! Your father and I had high hopes for you but you've failed us once again. I shouldn't be surprised. You better turn this behavior around immediately before I force it out of you!"

"You should come home, it would be nice to have a mom again.."

"You think you're funny? You better get your life together. You're ruining my image! You worthless brat."

She hung up on you once again. You haven't heard her voice in almost a year now, except for on TV of course. You continued putting up the food you just got from the market down the street.

'She was right. I am worthless.'

It was now later that evening. You laid on the couch with a soft blanket and ice cream while watching the marathon of your favorite show.

"Why is my life so depressing..?" You asked your self out loud.

"I dunno."

You jumped at the unexpected response and ran to the opposite side of the room.

"WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?!"

It was late in the evening now and a tall figure stood in the dark room along with you. You quickly grabbed the frying pan on top of the stove and flicked on the lights.

"Hey! Calm down!" The man put his hand up to stop you from doing anything too irrational.

It was the creepy dude that kept disappearing all day. "CALM DOWN?! YOU JUST BROKE INTO MY HOUSE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT!"

"I didn't break in. I just came to talk to you."

You pointed the pan at him. "Don't move! If you do I'll hit you! I'm calling the police."

"Look you don't understand. I'm not an intruder." He removed his hand from the air and placed it on his hip with a smirk, "I'm a god."

"Ohmigosh he's insane."

"I'm really a god, okay?!" He smiled brightly, his eyes shining. "I'm the god, Yato."

"I've never heard of a god named Yato, idiot. Plus, a god wouldn't be wearing an old tracksuit and running around like he's high on clorox wipes!"

"Look, if you don't believe me then I can prove it to you."

You slightly lowered the frying pan. "How?"

He walked towards the window in which he entered and slipped one leg out of it. "I'll jump."

"Nope. I'm calling the police."

"Look!"

"No!"

Before you could stop him, he slid out the window and fell three stories. You ran to see if he was okay, but was scared to look. Finally, you worked up enough courage to peek down below.

"HI!" The crazy man stood on the ground, waving.

"There's no way!"

In one leap he reached the window once again and climbed inside. "See!"

Completely shaken, you placed a hand on the back of the sofa to maintain your balance.

"Do you wanna sit down?" He suggested, pointing at the couch.

"I think that's best..."
