Right after the "incident", police arrived and the bus was able to continue on its normal route. Unfortunately, you were dragged into a cramped cop car like some criminal. It didn't make sense considering you did nothing wrong, but nobody wanted to listen to you. It was also super odd that you were the only one who saw the man run across the street. It made you wonder if you were beginning to lose your sanity.

You soon arrived at the private academy your mother forced you to attend. Inside you were told to go to the headmaster's office. You mentally prepared yourself for a boring lecture as you walked down the long hallways.

After reaching his office and gaining permission to enter, you noticed the officer from before walking in behind you. You sat down in front of the large desk in a fancy wooden chair.

The headmaster of the academy glared at you. "(L/n), I don't think you understand the seriousness of the situation. This ridiculous stunt put both your peers and other pedestrians in danger."

The officer that drove you to school leaned down next to you. "Was this something you thought would prevent your attendance today?"

You sat up to glare at the officer. His breath smelt like coffee and cigarettes. "Your breath reeks." You stated bluntly. The school was filled with rich people and they couldn't even get decent security.

The academy's headmaster gave you an irritated look as the officer backed away. "(L/n) you need to respond. If not, we can just go ahead and give you your suspension."

You placed your hands on his desk and leaned in a little closer so he could hear you clearly. "It wasn't a false alarm. Nobody else saw him, but there was someone in the middle of the street, I swear!"

The police officer forcefully banged his hand on the table in front of you. "Listen, kiddo, I don't know what you find so funny but-"

"I'm not laughing."

"You know what you did was illegal right? I wouldn't be pushing me, girly."

The officer wasn't even a real police officer. He was a stupid middle age resource officer with anger issues, but somehow he still thought he was the shit.

You looked him in the eye, "Sorry, but maybe if a spoke to a real officer..."

To end the fight before it started, the headmaster tore off a form, signed it, and handed it to you.

"I think we're done here...", said the headmaster, "Since you refuse to tell the truth and cooperate with us, I'll just go ahead and give you your punishment."

You looked down at the paper that confirmed your suspension.

"You are now excused."

You walked up the stairs and opened the door to your vacant apartment. You have been living by yourself for 4 years now. It may seem difficult to start living alone at such a young age, but it was something you were prepared for. Your mother was never home anyway, so you got used to being alone and taking care of yourself before she even moved.

You opened up the fridge to find only one cup of instant ramen left.

"I guess I'm going to the store..." you mumbled, annoyed.

You left the small apartment once again and headed back down the stairs you just climbed up. The nearest grocery store was two blocks away. Your keys jingled in your pocket as you walked down the street. Since it was a school day it wasn't as busy, but still slightly crowded.

It was a decent day outside, better than inside taking notes and preparing for tests. The weather looked better than it did that morning, less cloudy but still dull.

You scanned the area and took in your surroundings. Your eyes fell on a man to your right. He was sitting on a bench across the street. It was the same guy from that morning.

"Hey!!" You yelled and waved as you ran across the street to meet him.

He looked up at you, then around him. He had bright blue eyes that looked like an ocean. He was also holding a wine bottle filled with coins.

"Are you okay?! I saw you in front of the bus this morning! Do you need help?! You almost got hit!"

"You can see me?"

You laughed nervously, "Of course I can your not invisible.."

"W-what?!" He jumped off the bench, startled.

"Are you okay?"

Why would he think I couldn't see him?

"Why can you see me?"

"Because your a living person?" Is this guy crazy?!

"But I'm not..."

"Huh?"

A rather tall guy was walking by and stopped behind you out of curiosity. "Um hello?"

You turned around. "Hi?"

He was young, mid 20s maybe, and spoke to you casually.

"Do you need help? Your talking to a bench.."

"Um rude?! He's a person too! You should treat him as an equal! This damn society and our social classes." You snapped back.

The guy look at you as if you were insane and ran off. Confused, you turned back around to the strange guy sitting on the bench.

"I'm sorry-"

But he was gone...

Now where did he go?
